Freedom of the Seas disembark time

Recommended Posts

What time could I expect to be off the ship if we self disembark?

Looking at a flight home leaving MCO at 12:40pm.

We self embarked in April. started process at 6:30 am and were sitting around outside terminal waiting for our transportation to MCO by 7am and we were a large group with lots of bags to deal with.

We self disembarked a couple of weeks ago (with LOTS of bags) .. we had a limo transfer scheduled with Happy Limo and were walking through the doors of the airport at 8:30 a.m. Our flight home was also at 12:40 so we had a lot of time to kill in the airport.

Just sailed her end of August, did not do self debark but had a time off at around 8:30 or so. Car service (Happy Limo) was scheduled for around 8:45 but got caught with the bridge up heading into the port. Good thing, as it turned out we picked up the wrong suitcase and I had to wait until someone could escort me back into the terminal to get it straightened out.

Luckily we found ours on the belts, put the other one back (it had a later tag color than ours) and headed back out just as our car was loading up. We made it to the airport with plenty of time to spare, and saw others coming into the waiting area with tag colors far past ours (and we still had not boarded yet).

We had an 11:56 AM flight out of MCO.

ETA: We had Tag #10 for our bags.

We have a mid afternoon flight. What's the latest we can leave Freedom? Would 10 AM be too late? What time do we need to be out of the cabin - 8 AM?

thanx

10am might be OK, but I'd plan for 9:30am. It would be good to exit the stateroom as soon as possible to give the crew time to prepare for the next set of guests. There are lounges around the ship where you can wait comfortably.

Last week we were first off after those carrying their own luggage.

We got off earlier than most of those who did self-disembark because the line to get on the elevator with luggage was huge. We were off at 7:15.

You must have a hand free for the escalator or else you will be forced to wait and wait for elevator use.
