fan3car Posted September 17, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 17, 2014 It's the little things in life that I enjoy the most. I don't try to hunt out and find problems. Life is just too short. One of the little things I enjoy about Carnival cruise ships is... The tissues at the exits of the public restrooms so you don't have to touch a potentially germ infested door handle with your freshly washed hands, and the trash can for the tissues outside that door. What are the little things about Carnival that you enjoy?
sanmarcosman Posted September 17, 2014 #2 Share Posted September 17, 2014 Carnival is the only budget line that offers Tea Time on sea days. Thanks, Carnival!
desert sand Posted September 17, 2014 #3 Share Posted September 17, 2014 All the dessert choices at the buffet - something for everyone. I love the iced tea mixed with a little lemonade. I love that there is always a quiet place to sit and read or just people watch. I've been on 13 cruises (6 with Carnival) and Carnival is by far, my favorite. TPFKAH Posted September 17, 2014 #4 Share Posted September 17, 2014 Gotta admit I've never rated any experience on a rest room.
YB Nrml Posted September 17, 2014 #5 Share Posted September 17, 2014 The room stewards and their assistants. Every single time you pass by one in the halls they smile, say hello, and wish you a good day. :)
amyh13 Posted September 17, 2014 #6 Share Posted September 17, 2014 Bathrobes. I paid a ridiculous amount of money for a Disney Cruise this year and had to bring my own bathrobe. I had one on RCCL but I think that was because I was in a suite.
marshhawk Posted September 17, 2014 #7 Share Posted September 17, 2014 Tea time for sure. Chocolate on my pillow at night. (do they still do that?) Towel animals, and the towel animal show. Sitting aft at night watching the stars rise from the sea. Nothing is as sweet as that for me.
092306 Posted September 17, 2014 #8 Share Posted September 17, 2014 Still like the chocolate buffet and the work they put into it like the fruit sculptures and swans with the ice cream.
SadieN Posted September 17, 2014 #9 Share Posted September 17, 2014 (Almost) 24 hour ice cream. The couches along the Promenade Deck windows. We've been trying Princess and those ships have seating for, like, 20. Carnival must have seating for, like, 200.

The tissues at the exits of the public restrooms so you don't have to touch a potentially germ infested door handle with your freshly washed hands, and the trash can for the tissues outside that door. What are the little things about Carnival that you enjoy? I would rather see the tissues outside the doors. MOST people wash their hands and then exit. No one washes their hands before pushing the door open! Think of all those hands (and where they have been) and then reaching out to push open the door. :p Just one of those things to think about when drifting off to sleep! :p:D With that pleasant thought I will say that we are going on our 12th Carnival cruise in November so I guess there are enough things, big and small, that keep me coming back. And yes, we tried 2 others. ;)
Rare ncovert Posted September 17, 2014 #11 Share Posted September 17, 2014 The second bed comforter. :D DW and discovered this on our honeymoon and went home and bought a second for our home living. Makes too much sense not to have a second comforter now
Tutontow Posted September 17, 2014 #12 Share Posted September 17, 2014 24 hour free room service. Being addressed by name in the casino. The cocktail servers in the casino knowing what I drink and making sure I am never empty. Towel animals and turn down service. People genuinely trying to make sure you have a good time. I will say it is tough coming back to your local casual dining restaurant after a cruise and dealing with the I don't give a s*** attitude of the staff. carmel Posted September 17, 2014 #13 Share Posted September 17, 2014 I might be in the minority but.....the dancing at dinner. Each time I inwardly roll my eyes and say to myself, 'here we go again'. However, about 1 minute in, I'm smiling and clapping my hands and having a good old time! It is nice to be in a roomful of seemingly happy people. INCHARGE Posted September 17, 2014 #14 Share Posted September 17, 2014 How the dining room wait staff knows everyone by name! I could never do that. Once at a table for 8, we tried to figure out how they remember. After about 3 nights, everyone decided to switch seats. Those waiters went to everyone, and said " I see that you switched with so-and-so tonight. we cracked up. :D

INCHARGE Posted September 17, 2014 #16 Share Posted September 17, 2014 That is downright evil LOL I know, right? And the last laugh was on us, because they knew exactly what we did right away. They never hesitated at all. This was an all girl table, so there were 8 women all switched around. Did not phase them not one bit. They had to laugh at our faces when we realized they got us good. :D

wrigley80 Posted September 17, 2014 #19 Share Posted September 17, 2014 Singing and Dancing in the dining room (it's one of the only reasons why I go to the MDR). Knowing your name right away. Having your diet coke waiting at the table for you. Crew members that remember you by name from previous cruises

Do you not wash your hands after using the restroom? The tissues are for you to use to hold the handle with when you open the door after you have washed your hands. So you have a barrier between clean hands and dirty door.
