We're first time cruisers getting ready on September 28th to go on the Allure... where do we go for food once onboard? WHat time can we arrive at the terminal? What time does boarding start? Any other advice you can give?

I'd arrive at the terminal around 10:45am and you will probably board by 11:30am.

Food venues with no extra charge: Windjammer (buffet), Park Cafe, Wipeout Cafe, Solarium Cafe, Vitality Cafe, Boardwalk Dog House, Sorrento's, and Cafe Promenade.

Great first cruise, Most people love this one. The windjammer buffet will probably be full when you get on board, or at least very crowded. The "secret" favorite Park Cafe will be the same way. Twice on Allure I've had a relaxing Brat at the Dog Haus out of the boardwalk. Its been cool and comfortable both times for us. In the past the Wipeout Cafe, back of the ship deck 14 was not open on boarding day, but that may has changed. Nothing fancy, but will not be crowded. Or you could eat a good breakast and hang out at the pool till rooms open up at 1, then the buffet will empty out

As for boarding time, there will be two schools of thought. Since your a first timer on a great big ship, I would get to the port around 10:30-10:45, forgetting any communication you get from Royal. You maybe on board by 11:30 and use every minute to start exploring the ship. Just be prepared, on some occasions boarding is delayed, so have a book, or some patience :) This ship/terminal is very efficient at getting people on board.

Have fun ! You are going to be in awe... Only problem is no other ship will measure up to this.We went on allure then cruised on navigator of the seas.Always felt we lost the wow factor by not being on allure or oasis. We leave on oasis in november.
