Taking on your own snacks?

Just curious if anyone has put snacks they wanted onboard on their checked bags? ie M&Ms, etc.....is it ok or will they get confiscated?

No issue. I've had some left over from the plane ride and brought them on with no problem.

Snacks are fine. My mom is gluten-free and always brings nuts and other gluten-free snacks on board.

Yes. Never an issue.

We do on every cruise. Of course theres tons of food available but the prepackaged snacks are perfect for shore excursions.

Same. Also we have a small child so we need to have snacks that are kid friendly.

I especially like to take salty snacks with me. You can always find sweet things on the ship, but it is harder finding the salty ones!

Pre-packaged snacks are good for ports, especially long excursions. We always bring some for that and for our little one.

We had to dig in when we got stranded inside the Dome after checkin. Had to wait 6 hours to board.

Friends of ours always bring costco sized bags of bar snack food that you find in pubs. We use for our impromptu deck and balcony parties.

We always bring some sweets with us (think Halloween size candy). We like to share it with our Cabin Steward. We leave them a couple three dollars each day along with some Snickers, M&Ms, Milky Way, etc.. I don't know if they have access to our American candy and we really just like to share it with them.

Me too. I am glad I am not the only one who has noticed a lack of salty snacks on Carnival. I always take Pringles with me because they pack well. I am not a fan of Carnival's thick soggy undercooked fries so I forego those and have my burger or deli sandwich with potato chips instead.

when ordering a sandwich-- specify the chips.

 

We take along the Carmello bars-- which are a big hit with people who come from england-- but those things are pricy on the ship. (6.50)

My dad is diabetic so we always bring on crackers and cookies that are individually wrapped so that I can just put them in my backpack when we head into port for the day

I always take my own Granola bars with the yogurt on them...they saved me on the Splendor last year when I was :eek: HORRIBLY :eek: seasick. It was the only thing I could eat for 3 days....Now, I never leave home without them:D

I take M&Ms on in the snack size packages. Also Hershey's almond nuggets and rice cakes. Chocolate is too expensive on board.
