Safe Size?

Does anyone have the actual dimensions of the safe on QE? We are trying to decide if our laptop will fit in the safe.

According to ask.cunard.com:

 

Is there a safe on board?

All staterooms are equipped with a safe into which you can programme your own personal code.

 

Safe sizes are approximately Height 6", Width 12", Depth 6".

Don't know about QE, but here are the dimensions of the QM2 safes:

The door opening of the safe is 7 x 10 inches; interior dimensions are 8 high x 13.5 wide x 13 deep inches.

My MacBook fits in easily.

It all depends on your own risk tolerance but we've grown accustomed to keeping our computer, cameras, etc. on/in the bedside table (or in a closet shelf) and keeping the safe for jewelry, passports, cash & the like.

I agree, Underwatr; I used to put my laptop in the safe whenever I left the cabin but lately I've been comfortable leaving it on the desk, except that it goes into the safe when we're going to be away all day on a tour.

Just back from QE and no way would a full size laptop fit in the cabin safe

Thanks again for your replies. I figured that the safe would be too small for our laptop. I have read others comments before that they have left theirs out and had no problems, but thought I would check just in case.
