kurukthemal Posted September 26, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 26, 2014 I have the following offers to me 1) Casino Offer; 2) Premier Cruise Casino Offer and 3) Carnival Players Club Getaway. What the heck are the differences? I can't find anything specific in the descriptions. Thanks!!
pe4all Posted September 26, 2014 #2 Share Posted September 26, 2014 (edited) The casino offer just gives a discount and some casino cash. The Premier offer gives bigger (sometimes) discount, more casino cash, welcome party, gift in cabin, tournies, goodies in cabin, raffles, etc. More perks. Have no idea what the Players Club Getaway is. Edited September 26, 2014 by pe4all
NCTribeFan Posted September 26, 2014 #3 Share Posted September 26, 2014 I doubt that they're offered on the same sailings. I've booked under a "regular" casino offer and it was just a reduced rate. I booked on the 11/29 Freedom Premier cruise (my first). Rate was less than the usual rates and I'll receive $300 casino cash, free drinks, and other goodies. That offer was only for 9 specific cruises and they sold very quickly. I then received an offer for a 1-time sailing "special" casino cruise that (stupidly) overlapped with a couple of the Premier cruises so those of us who chose the 11/29 Freedom or 11/30 Pride couldn't go on it if we wanted. I currently have another Premier offer that was for about 11 cruises, including a few shorter ones, that was from last December until early March (I can't sail during tax season so ignored that one). No idea what the Getaway is. I'm guessing you simply need to do a "fake" booking and see what comes up. Or use your PVP. They have access to the fare codes and can tell you what you'll get with the different offers.
winddawn Posted September 26, 2014 #4 Share Posted September 26, 2014 I'd be curious to learn what the Carnival Player's Club Getaway is. I hope someone can enlighten us. I've never heard of that one.
timhoke Posted September 26, 2014 #5 Share Posted September 26, 2014 2 years ago I was offered a free cruise through the players club. I had to call & find out what the catch was, the answer was NOTHING. I asked where can I go then, the answer anywhere anytime "Where would you like to go". We ended up booking the Valor out of San Juan. We got a balcony room & as I recall $150 in casino cash. So it never hurts call & find out exactly what they are offering with each offer. scruggyj Posted September 29, 2014 #6 Share Posted September 29, 2014 When I go to my offers I see a casino offer. When I click view offers it just tries to load the dates..etc but just loads and loads and loads. I never get to view anything.

cruzn buckeye Posted September 29, 2014 #8 Share Posted September 29, 2014 it does the same with me... just spins and spins... so instead, i log in, and put how many people are cruising, and just search for cruises. Special offers will show up.

winddawn Posted September 30, 2014 #13 Share Posted September 30, 2014 I got my current casino offers about 4 weeks ago, and they show they have to be booked by October 16th and sail by May 31st. The premier casino cruise offers I have show they have to be booked by October 28th. I think I have 11 choices of premier cruises right now. These are my first casino offers. With vacay time limited at this time of year, do you think i will be getting more offers in the next round if i can't book one of these? have you had previous offers that you didn't take them up on? i would love to do one of these cruises.. but have limited vacation days left for this year. Probably. I am down to cruising CCL once a year, and I still get the Premier offers and casino offers each time a new one comes out.

pe4all Posted October 1, 2014 #17 Share Posted October 1, 2014 Thanks! Hoping I get more too to take advantage of next year. have you ever gotten one of their free cabin offers? I am handed an envelope the last night in the casino for a free inside cabin. Must be booked within 2 weeks of debark, and cruise must be taken within a certain time period. (I think 3-4 months - but don't hold me to that) Due to teaching schedule, I can never take them up on that offer. I do book under casino rates on all my cruises, though. (or Premier, if I can swing the dates)
