Smoking on voyager of the seas

I had previously posted this on another thread but was told that it would be more suitable on this one.

I have checked the RCI website for their smoking policy and it states in part that smoking is allowed in the Casino. On my last cruise on Radiance to New Zealand, I believe that the Casino was entirely smoke free.

Would this have been because of the Smoking regulations in Australia and New Zealand?

The reason I ask is because I was planning to spend a bit of time in the Casino and wanted to know if I would be restricted to a section of it that was smoke free.

Whilest in Australia the ships are smoke free except from the outside promenade deck (I dont know if there are any other places for smokers)

The smoking policy out of the land down under is because of the laws of Australia. Smoking is allowed in all other casinos. There maybe a smoke free casino night, usually on formal night.

On Voyager in January to New Zealand I think the casino was pretty much smoke free. I think once or twice there was someone smoking in there near me but it wasn't common at all. It was uncommon enough that I didn't really think about whether there were smoke free zones. (I can't recall any.)

Haven't seen a smoke free formal night since they banned smoking on balconies.
