Question about Cabin Assignment

I was wondering if Royal Caribbean could setup their system to allow you to choose your Top 5 -10 Cabins in the category so if you had a favorite room on your last cruise you could book into that room#. If someone is already booked and they cancel they could automatically assign you that room.

 

I have stayed at resorts where you can call to request specific rooms and if they are available they will "block it out"and assign it to you.

 

It would not be a hard system to implement as you have entered in the request and it would assign them to you if no other people were in the queue to be assigned to your cabin.

 

Perhaps if they charged $10 per request unless your Platinum level or above in C&A they would allow those with status in C&A to chose rooms.

 

If you got a Guarantee Cabin then when it was time for the cruiseline to release those rooms to you an email would be sent asking you to log into your Personalizer to choose the room you want.Perhaps this would be a benefit to people with status in C&A that a week before the Guarantee rooms get assigned you have first dibs at the room. You could then chose to pay an upgrade fee or see if you were upgraded without a fee.

 

What are your thoughts on this?

Probably will only occur if you book your cabins as Grand suites and above......

 

Cannot see it happening under these categories.

You are talking about RCI? I am happy if my reservation shows up when I go to check it. :eek:
