tueyx Posted October 14, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 14, 2014 We sail on Rhapsody in December and our very first cruise was December last year on the Radiance. I'm big time nervous Rhapsody won't live up to how much we loved Radiance. Hope it does. :) Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Don't worry you'll love Rhapsody as we did. Will be back on her in 40 days or so. Can't wait!!! Love Radiance too btw! Hazydavo Posted October 14, 2014 #3 Share Posted October 14, 2014 I posted this on a previous thread... Having sailed on both, a few differences we noted were: - Centrum is more spacious on Rhapsody - Love the helipad on Radiance, can't get on the front of Rhapsody - Colony club (Ra) is more spacious than the Shall We Dance Lounge (Rh) - Self-levelling pool tables are cool on Radiance - Really love the elevators on Radiance that look out through glass to the sea, very cool - Not sure about this but the pool area (outdoor) on Rhapsody felt more spacious than on Radiance - 4 whirlpools on Rhapsody around outdoor pool, Radiance has 2 - Prefer the theatre on Radiance and better seating - and lastly, for me Radiance is better looking and much sexier to look at Oh yeah, and Rhapsody has the aerial acrobatic show in the centrum! Rare MicCanberra Posted October 14, 2014 #4 Share Posted October 14, 2014 (edited) I haven't tried either of these ships yet but will eventually, especially with the prices lately. I know some ships are better than others and we all have our favourites, but in reality, the ship does not play that much a part in my enjoyment of a cruise.:D Edited October 14, 2014 by MicCanberra
Dizziedi Posted October 14, 2014 #5 Share Posted October 14, 2014 Just remember the Rhapsody is older, smaller and doesn't have the glass that the Radiance has. Radiance is our favourite but love both ships for different reasons and hope you will too:) Cheers Di

You can also see him in the buffet some days. Good Capt makes for a happy crew! New Capt on Radiance so hope he's as great as the previous one that had recently retired from Royal to spend more time at home. Radiance is a beautiful ship, usually with lots of overseas visitors whereas Rhapsody is smaller with more of locals sailing on her - at least that had been my experience. Love them both! Had him on our first cruise and he was wonderful and so friendly. He treated first time cruisers the same as Pinnacle. Not like some of the Captains we have had. Tara Jane Posted October 18, 2014 #15 Share Posted October 18, 2014 Both are great ships but somehow there is nothing like your first cruise. The excitement is lovely to see on first time cruisers.

Did you get to go to his Quarters? He usually has Diamonds and above for drinks, or did you go Diamond on that cruise? Cheers Di
