Kenlorz Posted October 19, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 19, 2014 Does the Garden Cafe on the BA have trays to carry your food? Our cabin is not far away and I would love to take breakfast back to the cabin to enjoy on our balcony. Thanks!

Our cabin is not far away and I would love to take breakfast back to the cabin to enjoy on our balcony. Thanks! No trays (remember, it is a buffet, not a cafeteria), however: You certainly can carry your breakfast on a plate. or Have room service deliver your breakfast. or Bring your own tray from home. It all depends on what you want.
russianmom Posted October 19, 2014 #3 Share Posted October 19, 2014 NCL hasn't had trays in years. When I'm in a suite I ask the butler to leave one as my kids love to eat in the suite before they go to kids club This time I had a balcony room and brought a cheap plastic one from Party City. Kenlorz Posted October 19, 2014 Author #4 Share Posted October 19, 2014 Thanks everyone for the quick responses. Just wondered how juggling a plate, an OJ and a cup of coffee was going to work, but you have offered up solutions. Thanks again!
garycarla Posted October 19, 2014 #5 Share Posted October 19, 2014 We often get a plate of food from the buffet for the room. I fill one plate for two. Place another plate on top and take the room. If I want OJ - I drink it there (lucky for me, wife does not). We do coffee on the room.

Velvet Teddy Bear Posted October 20, 2014 #8 Share Posted October 20, 2014 If you order coffee/juice/rolls/etc on the card you hang on your cabin door at night....well, you can keep the tray, just remind your cabin steward to leave the tray... jus me...jim...
PorkChopKid Posted October 20, 2014 #9 Share Posted October 20, 2014 Thanks everyone for the quick responses. Just wondered how juggling a plate, an OJ and a cup of coffee was going to work, but you have offered up solutions. Thanks again! We often find ourselves wandering from place to place during sea days and use mugs with lids (shown on table) to carry coffee, iced tea, etc. The mugs also hold more than the standard cups. One word of caution... pour contents from regular cups and glasses into them when refilling. Or.........get room service the first day and keep the tray! :D Interesting.... AAAAmerican Posted October 20, 2014 #10 Share Posted October 20, 2014 Dear kenlorz, No question is weird..it is the ones which think they are.. How else are answers attained?;) BOTTOM LINE::; --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On NCL , the cost containment is of utmost priority on all the Ships. So, yes, no Trays. Otherwise paying cruisers would eat more and the associated costs jump higher for NCL. Does the Garden Cafe on the BA have trays to carry your food? crystalaziza Posted October 21, 2014 #12 Share Posted October 21, 2014 I've asked for a tray, and they were glad to get me one!!!!!!!!
cruis247g Posted October 21, 2014 #13 Share Posted October 21, 2014 I'm not the OP, but thanks so much for these ideas. We love spending time on the balcony, so I'm often the person heading back to the cabin, juggling drinks and snacks for the family, wishing that I had a couple of extra hands. This will really help! Valen9 Posted October 22, 2014 #14 Share Posted October 22, 2014 Just be careful with the tray out on your (regular) balcony. Remember that any tray is going to be MUCH larger than that teeny tiny table!
