Bingo is apparently included now?

Do you think Carnival monitors this website?

Although this originated on Facebook groups, this website is monitored by Carnival. Carnival's social media specialist, Mischelle Beattie, does have a verified account here (CCL_Mischelle) and posts occasionally to clear up confusion or address issues.

1. Has anyone ever won at BINGO here? Is it $20 a person?

2. They have free Champagne at the Art Auction? How did I not know about this :p

My sister has won. It was about $150 as I recall. I can't remember the price either. Hoping it's less than Royal.

Yes to the art auction champagne, but it's not all that great. IMO.

From JH this morning:

"Again, I had a few comments about this and there were some on Carnival’s page as well. I am not sure where this came from but as much as it would be fun to say “yes, everyone gets a free bingo card as you walk up the gangway” we are still charging for the cards although we are moving now to the markers and more easier pricing and special packages. Anyway, no free bingo cards and hopefully along with my reply to Clare someone will post this wherever the report on Cruise Critic can be found."

Watching bingo without a card is as free as watching the art auction without bidding.

Auctions can be fun to watch, goodness there are about 5 different shows on TV dedicated to auctions.

But I agree saying BINGO is included is the same as saying the casino is included. Technically they both are free...

Yes, both my DH and I won on our Miracle repo cruise in March 2013, he won 3 jackpots (2x$100 + 1x$150), and I won twice (1x$175 + 1x$100). Basically paid for our S&S charges :D

Who keeps running and telling uncle John that questions being asked here are fact? I read that this morning and it's really no wonder he and his followers have a low opinion of the stuff on this site. Everything that gets sent to him is completely misrepresented, even after people point out that the pricing was a mistake.

He loves to stir the pot. Of course Mischelle tells him.

I won $600 once and a few times smaller amounts.

However what I do not like now is their new pricing which includes pull tabs.

On the Splendor recently they had a package for $20 which broken down said $10 for bingo and $5 each for 2 pull tabs. They would not allow you to just have the bingo card.

Seriously!! When I read the Clare person asked the question to him, I couldn't believe it. It really does make cc members look like a bunch of idiots.

I won the $1000 jackpot on the Paradise a few years ago and $500 on Jewel as well (and I hate bingo but go with the wife)!

We hit for $1000 once, can't remember which ship. Best part was that some large rude woman butt in front of me in line to get her cards, setting me up with the eventual winner. Looked around that auditorium for her when we won but did not see her and thankfully no one else yelled BINGO so no splitting that pot! Wiped out the S&S with plenty to spare!

Good for you! And rude woman, that is karma.

To be completely honest, I would be shocked if Mischelle was reporting anything that we see being posted on another social media website. It seems as if she's trying to do her job without causing trouble and tries to assist as many people as she can. She occasionally posts here when time sensitive situations are of pretty high importance and goes above and beyond. She's probably one of the most competent individuals throughout the entire organization.

This is what I understood of her involvement here. This is all comments by people who apparently post or lurk here looking for subjects that make this place look like a huge rumor mill. This place squashes more rumors than it starts, unless you read first posts only then go blab about it to John.

I don't have the negative view of John that some do, but I also don't buddy up to him every chance I get. I wish folks would quit trying to use subjects that are discussed here to get him to confirm or deny things. This thread was solved before someone even posted it to him, so why go telling him about it?

That link I saw says cost for a fee not included.

That indicates that there is a cost to play.

Carnival's web developers accidentally linked to the wrong image in the HTML source. It has been modified and fixed to indicate fees apply.

Meanwhile, post after post scourges Cruise Critic for having incorrect information over there, as if Cruise Critic was the source of the error.

Silence from the grand poobah.

I was on the Pride just 10 days ago and it was NOT included.

The link you provided does say it is though...strange!

I didn't see anywhere where Bingo is included. I took it as indicating that Bingo is available.
