Rare mitsugirly Posted October 26, 2014 #26 Share Posted October 26, 2014 I have not been on a cruise yet that I didn't see doors decorated. I personally have never decorated the door (always thought about it, but never had the time to bring something with us to do it). However, funny this has come up since my daughter and I just made our very first door decorations for our upcoming cruise. :D
tarps14 Posted October 26, 2014 #27 Share Posted October 26, 2014 ....had been instructed to remove door signs... Sent from my SM-G900P using Forums mobile app I think maybe we're talking about two different things here. Door 'signs' vs. door 'decor'. I could see door signs, with something specifically referencing Cruise Critic or another organization, as being problematic, and maybe are being considered a form of advertisement of sorts. From my experience, I don't see them as having a problem with generic decor for a holiday or special occasion.
FreestyleNovice Posted October 26, 2014 #28 Share Posted October 26, 2014 Door decorations: cruise lines and ship yards using non flammable materials to meet fire safety regulations and passengers using kleenex and real pine for their next door decoration.. ;) That's why not. :) Land example
shealea Posted October 28, 2014 #29 Share Posted October 28, 2014 I've been on 4 alaska cruises in recent years, and I've never seen any doors decorated. And I have been looking since reading here on CC about folks decorating their doors!
