Changing to my time dining on ship?

My husband and I are booked on oasis in a couple weeks. When we booked this cruise a year ago I booked late dining. I called my TA to try and change to my time but she said that all dining is closed now because we sail soon. She said check on ship to see if we can change. My question is, will it be highly unlikely to be able to get my time dining after we board the ship or should it be an easy accommodation for just 2 people?

They WANt you to be happy, and will do everything they can to get you what you want. If not on night 1, certainly by night 2.

I did not have any luck changing to MTD on the ship, but YMMV. When I went to inquire just after boarding, they said they had exceeded their capacity for MTD, so no can do.

We attempted to change to MTD on the last two cruises we have taken once on board. Both times, we were told MTD had already reached capacity and unable to change. They did accommodate us with a table for two. Lesson learned. We have already booked MTD for our upcoming cruise in January.
