mattson Posted October 27, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 27, 2014 Hi All, Just wondering if any ones (local or experienced) has any suggestions for long term secure parking suggestions for cruises departing from Sydney. our first thought was to drive in and park at the airport, but it's still a ways away from the harbor, and taxi fare will be pretty ouch! when I google long term parking near the harbor I end up at the wilson type garages who seem to only charge by the day, and I found a few threads elsewhere about people claiming some of those types of garages are regularly scouted by theives looking for the cars that don't leave and get targetted accordingly. Any help appreciated. Cheers, Matt
KarateMan Posted October 27, 2014 #2 Share Posted October 27, 2014 Look up storage units or self storage boxes. Many of these companies have cheapish units large enough to drive a car in and some have warehouses to park cars in. They allow cars to be stored but are not as published as much. Just search storage units.

GUT2407 Posted October 27, 2014 #6 Share Posted October 27, 2014 If you are overnighting in Sydney before yo embark some hotels will give you a good deal on parking, a few years ago we got a deal for $5 a night, when Wilson's wanted $12 it's worth asking, for us it was a better deal hotel and parking than just parking.
