NoWhiners Posted November 28, 2014 #1 Share Posted November 28, 2014 Hi All We are close to final payment and will likely be able to save some money if we give up the Explore 4 package. For us this is only the "up to 15 drinks" and the pinnacle grill dinner (not the reduced deposit and 3rd person free). DH has asked if the allowed drinks include things like margaritas, pina colada's, daiquiri, mai tai's, etc? I looked thru POAs thread on all his research and couldn't find a reference to these but I could have missed it. If these drinks were included it might be worth it for us but we're not sure. We know we will drink wine and we can get bottled water, coffee, after dinner liqueurs, etc, but just need this last bit of data. So, does anyone have nay experience with this? Thanks ML
PathfinderEss Posted November 28, 2014 #2 Share Posted November 28, 2014 Yes margaritas, pina colada's, daiquiri, mai tai's, etc. are included in your Explore '4' package.
Rare POA1 Posted November 28, 2014 #3 Share Posted November 28, 2014 Yes. You can have all the fruity, frozen drinks you like. You just can't upgrade the liquor to a call brand. That probably doesn't matter a lot because it would be hard to taste the difference in a frozen drink.
Alberta Quilter Posted November 28, 2014 #4 Share Posted November 28, 2014 Most of those types of drinks are less than $7 so they are allowed under the SBP. If you keep the package, just ask your server, at the time you place your order, if the card covers the drink you want to order. They'll help you out. NoWhiners Posted November 28, 2014 Author #5 Share Posted November 28, 2014 wow, thanks everyone for the quick replies!! Now we just have to call and see if the price difference (and lost OBC) justifies giving up the package. POA--we'll be on NA in March, so I have been closely following your reports. Thanks for all the updates and keep 'em coming! Hope everyone had a great turkey day and there are leftovers aplenty!!! Thanks again ML

Alberta Quilter Posted December 7, 2014 #8 Share Posted December 7, 2014 KK is right in that the Explore4 package is a promotion offered by HAL that includes the Signature Beverage Package (SBP) as one of the perks of the package. You can purchase the SBP on your own as KK pointed out, just make sure that you will get your money's worth out of it. I know we wouldn't.
