Dynamic Dining?

We really enjoy dining in the MDR with others so we can make new friends. Could this work with Dynamic dining also? I assume you would have to coordinate with strangers as soon as possible to do this?

Its possible, but it wouldn't be every night, they ask you if you want to dine alone or at a table in these restaurants.

But if you find people during the cruise who would enjoy your company at dinner, it is likely very possible to add them to your reservations, especially if you are at all flexible in your dining time requirements. Plenty of other places than the dining rooms to make new friends during the cruise.

Too many don't like eating with others...I think that's why they started MTD and now, Dynamic...so they can seat folks as they arrive, like in land-based restaurants. I doubt you will find others who wish to dine with "strangers".....which I think is strange!

Unless you want to wait every time for a two top, you'll end up sharing a table with strangers, aka table mates.

 

The tables are so close to each other that even at tables for two you'll end striking up a conversation with neighbors.

My solution is to avoid any sailings where the traditional MDR is not offered. Busily searching now for 2-3 cruises for 2015, a couple of Transatlantic and maybe either a Med or Nordic cruise. I think Royal Caribbean may be out of contention.
