deise17311 Posted December 10, 2014 #1 Share Posted December 10, 2014 We have booked 6145 on Millennium for Asia and while we love the suite on other ships are concerned that Asia in October may be hot and without any cover on balcony difficult to enjoy it...any thoughts or experiences? Recently on Panama Canal from San Diego to FLL, even with cover the sun was scorching...hoping that others who have been to Asia in October can give some insight into temps...thanks all as always! dabear Posted December 10, 2014 #2 Share Posted December 10, 2014 Why don't you look your ports up your ports on The Weather Channel, Weather Underground or other similiar sites. BTW, are you talking about northern Asia or southern Asia since there are big differences in climate?
Rare Essiesmom Posted December 10, 2014 #3 Share Posted December 10, 2014 Looks like your cruise starts in Yokohama and ends in Hong Kong. Starting from the southern end: Hong Kong latitude = Havana Taipei = Miami Shanghai = Savannah Nagasaki = Myrtle Beach Yokohama = Norfolk Roughly speaking, from googling a world map. So, you start out in fall clothing, and end in the tropics. EM

gek Posted December 10, 2014 #5 Share Posted December 10, 2014 October in places like Shanghai and Japan is not particular hot or steamy. Once you hit Shanghai the weather should be quite pleasant although Hong Kong and Taipei will probably be hot. We cruised NorthEast Asia in October and the weather was quite pleasant. On the other hand I've also been to Hong Kong in October and found it to be stiflingly hot and humid.
