Hello

I have recently booked this cruise for September, and as of yet, there are no shore excurions for me to check out. Has anyone been on this cruise recently who can give a little info on any of the excusrsions in any of the ports of call?

thank you in advance

First suggestion would be to join your roll call. Port Oaska, if you haven't been to Koyto, it is about an hour away from the port, but worth it. Take

a tour that has the most temples and shrines. If you are not up to a ride that long, there is big castle in Osaka a subway ride away. Haven't been to the port you will stop in China, so can't help. Hong Kong, the ship docks at the old

airport area, now a cruise port, buses about 15 to 20 minute ride (free)

to three shopping malls. In the malls you can catch the MRT and you can

easily and cheaply get to all major sites in the area. With a little of planning going to the MRT site you can easily plan out your jouney.

Ship tours usually go to Victoria Peak, the ladies market, do a harbour

cruise and the like. Nan Trang, join with a group and do a private tour, old site with Hundi ruins, the Great Buddah, central market good shopping. If you like

beaches, then one nearby the dock it okay. Short, cheap cab ride away, or walk, as it isn't that far. If you haven't been to Ho Chi Minh City, take

the ships tour, as the city is about 70 minutes away. Traffic is crazy and

if on a ships tour they will wait for you. Most tour will take you to the

Renification Palace. the railroad station (From French Period) and a couple of other cites. There is a lot of consturction at the area near the Rex hotel area, so not sure if they will take you there. Singapore, again, a city easy to do do by public transit. We were on the Diamond in October of this year and loved the ship, the food, was good the Lido had a

Japanese flavour, with difference noodles, fresh made every day.

We loved it. Also suggest you check out Asia section on Cruise Critic

for suggestion at each port. It is a great cruise and I am sure you

will enjoy it.

Although the Princess excursions have not yet been posted for your sailing, you can see what is likely to be offered by going to the Princess web site, get the drop down menu for "Learn about cruising" and select "Ports and excursions".

Web site has changed, at least in the USA.

Get the drop down menu for "Ships & Experience" and select "Ports & Shore Excursions"
