rascaldog Posted December 13, 2014 #1 Share Posted December 13, 2014 I was told that when I book A CAS room that I can also book 2 additional rooms at 10% off. Has any other CAS people done this? Will the guests in the additional booked rooms get the drink cards ?
hpecorari Posted December 13, 2014 #2 Share Posted December 13, 2014 I was told that when I book A CAS room that I can also book 2 additional rooms at 10% off. Has any other CAS people done this? Will the guests in the additional booked rooms get the drink cards ? I did this last may. My CAS cruise was a 'free' cruise for myself and my SIL who shared the room for me. I was able to get my nephew and his wife in another room for 10% off and they were given the lowest of the drink cards. What they have stopped it allowing one person to book that 2nd room at 10% off without charging them a single supplement. So, if it's one person in that room they will be charged as a single. Not sure about two additional rooms as I've only done one extra room. Harriet

gl1200a Posted January 20, 2015 #8 Share Posted January 20, 2015 I am curious, which drinks are considered as premium or ultra drink? Premiums are brands like Grey Goose, Jack Daniel etc. Ultra is a very good question. I asked that on a recent trip on the Dawn. They said I could have anything. I asked again for specifics. Bottom line was at the casino bar the only brand I could get with ultra over premium was Johnny Walker platinum.

gl1200a Posted January 20, 2015 #11 Share Posted January 20, 2015 I've drank a firetruck load of Grey Goose and Makers with only the Premium card. This has been the case on 4 different ships on 6 cruises.

asubaru Posted January 20, 2015 #13 Share Posted January 20, 2015 In October 2014, that was not the case. . You're both likely correct. Ask a a number of servers, bartenders and casino hosts; may get various answers as to what a particular card tier should receive. I had experience with this issue during my cruise on the Epic last year and it took way too much of my time to get some sort of resolution to some very simple requests/questions. Once I did get resolution, it was a pain most times when ordering. The last few days of my cruise, I drank my own wine that I paid to bring on board. It was worth the hassle. It seems to me to be clear cut since they have a list, but not only are the staff poorly educated, IMO, they leave it up to management. Example: you can be a very good player, regardless of your level, and a host will approve just about any thing you request. Maybe the "mystery" of it all is intentional. Another problem is that the casino bars may not carry all the premium and up liquors or decent (meaning anything above their "swill" blends) wines.
