Explorer of Seas Southampton to Sydney 65 days!

Recommended Posts

We were just off the Quantum of Seas which I considered the Best Ship RCCL has ever launched! The dining & Entertainment were 2nd to none! We have been on every class of ships RCCL has to offer. Some technology and activity glitches but other than that it was a great cruise.

Anyway back to the title of the subject, possible RCCL cruise once in a lifetime opportunity! Once they finish the dry dock of Explorer of Seas that ship is headed to Sydney Australia bound via Southampton UK. 65 days in a repositioning cruise. Its a combination of 5 cruises to reposition the ship from Southampton to Sydney Australia.

It is only 58 nights.

No overnight stops in Barcelona, Dubai, Singapore and Perth.

Milford, Doubtful and Dusky Sounds are visited the same day.

Yes I knew number of days was incorrect as I included duplicated days for each switch from one stage to next the next stage, which equated to 7 extra days. During each stage, thanks for correcting. It is very unique RCCL cruise which doesnt happen every day. Not your standard Caribbean, European or South East Asian cruise for sure.

I am hoping to do the Perth to Sydney section to repeat the experience that I had when the Voyager did the same thing but the prices are a bit high at the moment for solo (I hate the buy one get one half off sales). I wanted to start at Singapore but the itinerary from Singapore to Perth is annoying no intermediate stop in Western Australia. If I am traveling in the area I want to at least stop at Port Hedland.

I'm doing the Southampton to Dubai segment. Would be interested to hear about where to stay for a couple of days in Dubai, preferably a reasonably-priced hotel with shuttle service to the airport (and/or even from the pier to the hotel).
