Joel&Hall Posted December 27, 2014 #1 Share Posted December 27, 2014 Hi, We are looking at doing a 12 night South Pacific cruise some time in 2016, we are looking at Royal Caribbean (voyager of the seas) & Carnival (spirit). We will be travelling with our 3 children who will be roughly 2, 3 & 5 was just wondering who people would recommend out of these 2 for a cruise with 3 young children? Also does Carnival have any rooms that would accommodate 5 people in 1 room or would we have to get 2 connecting rooms? Also does Carnival have a babysitting service? I know that our youngest wont be able to participate in kids club but am hoping to still have some adult time. With Royal Caribbean we are looking at a family panoramic oceanview that we have seen on Voyager of the seas, but just looking at their booklet it doesn't look like Voyager has the royal babies/tots program that we could drop our youngest off at. Is this true? Has anyone stayed in a famiy panoramic oceanview? What did you think? Thank you for your help!
Rare Essiesmom Posted December 27, 2014 #2 Share Posted December 27, 2014 Carnival does not have any babysitting, but their kids programs start at age 2, and they do change diapers. The Spirit class ships of Carnival do not have cabins for 5, but since she was launched in 2000, US Coast Guard regulations do allow them to put a rollaway bed in a quad cabin. The Spirit class ships have balcony cabins that connect with an inside cabin, far forward on decks 5,6,7. There are only two on each deck, total of six, so I suspect they book fast. the symbols on the deck plans do not indicate that either of the connecting cabins holds three. I'm sure there are others on this board with experience with these cabins that can give you more help. EM
LuCruise Posted December 27, 2014 #3 Share Posted December 27, 2014 I don't know about Carnival, but Voyager has DreamWorks stuff. We are currently looking at Allure of the Seas and DreamWorks is a big plus for our kids.
RSLeesburg Posted December 27, 2014 #4 Share Posted December 27, 2014 I think you are correct - Voyager does not have the nursery. I do not think any of the ships in this class have the nursery.
