Credit Card Holds NCL 2 adults

Just curious if I have already pre-paid auto tips, excursions and a room bar set up what amount will be "held" on my card? If they hold it can it then be used to pay off any charges up to that amount? Or do they hold it and then also want to be paid?

I would ask this on the NCL board, here:

as it is NCL policy. Most cruise lines put holds on no matter what you have paid in advance.

Holds will be separate from actual charges charged to the account.

It's not "holds"...it's pre-approvals...different thing!

We had prepaid the service charges, purchased our excursions and had a decent amount of OBC and they pre-authorized $300 for our family of four. They will (as I understand it) pre-authorize more if you go above that.
