FLL NE cam has been showing good shots of the pilot pick-ups on the last few ships. Maybe will zoom in on the W also.

Pilot boat #5 is waiting out there - here she comes alongside port side - that will not be an easy job tonight!

They're keeping up with her. But she's heading into the night!

Pilot boat staying right by her side.

Now I'd better head off - Thanks, all, Chief, Lou and Dave. See you next time.

That looks like a tricky maneuver . . .wouldn't want to have to jump from one to the other!

Smooth Sailing! :) :) :)

John,

Do the pilots ever miss and wind up in the water? If so, who rescues?

Not very often but it has happened; the pilot boat crew primarily, with the cruise ship's crew (life buoys, etc.). Pilots always wear life vests when going down the ladder. Most of those guys (and ladies) are very experienced and have done it numerous times

She's departing on a 68-day Grand South America voyage; lots of preparations; taking in stores, etc

Thanks for the info. It is unusual to see the Prinsendam in FLL.

no, oh heck no, you wouldn't see me doing that. I would be ok going up, but would fail on the down part.

You wouldn't see me either.

Oasis returning to Fort Lauderdale but they would not give the reason over the radio. Interesting......
