Oasis returning to port?

Looks like the Oasis is returning to port. Anyone know why?

I was watching it on marinetraffic and noticed this about 15 minutes ago as well. You can see it coming back on the NE Ft. Lauderdale webcam.

Facebook C&A is reporting that Oasis is returning to Florida.

Is this accurate, and if so, can anyone on board offer some insight?

Reports are saying it may have been something to do with someone in the H2O Zone, perhaps a child if this is the case.

Normally it is for a medical emergency.

Good job by Oasis to get the person back to FLL as quickly as possible.

she is going to be there a while, they have tied her up front and back.

Not necessarily, they can cut loose pretty quickly. Could be more than one injury, or waiting for the injured or sick party to gather up their stuff and disembark.

Oh man. That is bad. Hope they were revived. A death on the ship would probably cause the cruise to be cancelled. Investigation, interviewing witnesses, coroners report. And the fact that it happened so quickly. Wonder if alcohol was involved.

7:48 PM marine traffic radio announced Security Officer to Bridge 'medic and patient off the ship'

 

7:52 Gangway to Bridge, "Sheriff's detective onboard" Bridge, "Alright, I will give you a call"

It's a 9 year old kid. Heard she slipped and fell in H20 Zone.

Hopefully, the kid was found quickly and revived. If the sheriff leaves the ship quickly, you can figure the "patient" is still alive.

We went on a cruise where a young boy died the evening before we got on and our leaving was delayed 3 hours while they did the investigation and let the family and deceased child off the ship. The entire embarkation was very, very subdued as we were all so sad over what had happened. I hope and pray they were able to revive this child...
