Beaches in Aruba

We went to Eagle Beach in May. I thought the beach was nice but the day we were there was very windy. So we got sand blasted. Each time the wind picked up you could hear all the screams. The low umbrellas helped deflect some of the blowing sand.

Another thing, I feel the prices for chairs and umbrellas on Eagle Beach are way too high. You get 2 simple low laying chairs and a low umbrella. Nothing fancy and they need to be low to avoid being blown away by the wind. I understand this but they are your cheap variety with no cushioning. But the starting price was $40 for this. You get nothing with this. No drink, no access to restrooms, nothing other than the 2 chairs and umbrella.

Eagle Beach is much windier than Palm Beach. The tall buildings on Palm Beach deflect the wind. Eagle Beach is more open, so the wind comes right through. For families with kids, Palm might be better. Also, the water is a lot calmer on Palm Beach.
