Celebrity Century last day in Sydney today - 11 Jan 2015

So is Celebrity replacing her with another ship or just reducing their presence in Australia?

They are reducing their overall presence as Millennium only "passes by" and doesn't do as many cruises as century this season from what I've seen.

On an international scale the Century is to be replaced by a new class of ship announced when on Century, which is bigger than M smaller than S class!

Yes, they alluded to that but their plans do not involve the new build until 2017/18.:D

Yes, Century was based here for a short while. Whereas we're just a stop over for Millennium between bases elsewhere.

Celebrity have only ever "home ported" one vessel in Australia during the season so nothing has really changed and RCCL have actually increased capacity for next summer by having both Voyager and Explorer based in Sydney without having to deploy an extra ship and with appropriate berth dates at the OPT being at a premium it makes sense.
