Slight chance. Celebrity seems to stick by what room they assign in a guarantee. Cunard used to have upgrades rather often.

I have booked GTY many times. Most of the time, the assignment stays the same. On one cruise, we were assigned and reassigned 3 times. Each time the cabin got better. I have also waited until the cruise to find out the assigned cabin. The longer you wait, the better the cabin. My daughter booked a cat. 12 GTY and was upgraded 9 levels. Most of the time, you get the lowest GTY level that you booked.
