Just another observation. I'm in the health club industry. We've used the free product thing for years. Costs nothing as you sign up and are given products monthly. Wondering if they jyst want to force us to buy toothpaste and razors on the ship?

I never used he Breathe Right strips before trying them on the cruise, but now I sleep with them several times a week, especially when I wake myself up from the noise or catch myself grunting or snorting!!!

Once in my basket was Oil of Olay IN SHOWER body lotion.

Loved it so much that I asked room steward for extra and I have been buying it since.

Sure beats the Arm and Hammer Toothpaste that was in our last basket.

I was just going to say the exact same thing. The In Shower body lotion is the one sample that got me hooked. I love that stuff.

last few cruises, the sample tray has really lacked much of anything. But the one thing I did get hooked on was the cinnamon flavor crest toothpaste.

We still use Pepcid AC. It has become a staple when we cruise.

We've had an empty bowl on our last 4 cruises. I'd be more surprised now if there was anything in it

MANY years ago, DH tried the Pepcid AC from the goodie basket while cruising. We have used it ever since.

Wayyyy back on one of our first cruises we got tooth flossers, they were a long stick with disposable floss things. Loved em!! could not find the replaceable floss ends anywhere in Canada until a few years ago when they came out with smaller disposable ones

It's by Reach....and I have been buying the refills and using it since like 2004.

Because it makes flossing easier... I actually do it....not just for the week before going to the dentist :p

No, just figured he missed it along with the mold in the shower, bloodstain on the bed, trash under the bed and in drawer, papers from previous guest taped to wall, puddle of sticky fruit drink on desk, handprints all over glass, etc. the worst housekeeping ever. Didn't feel like making a fuss.

Last sample I got was 2013 on Sensation. No samples on Dream or Breeze. But I did see the shell on the room stewards cart full of chocolates

LOL..I still use the nice 4 blade pink razor from 2009..a ladies one..that one can get refills for, Ladiy Schick Quatro?? I THINK, not getting up to look for it now and I just finished a bunch of Crest samples on a trip in October...the razor is LIGHT AND MY TRAVEL RAZOR..lol..GREAT THREAD.

 

I go ahead and use the travel lotions and shampoo AND conditioner and soaps when home..I lug them home it by car or checking a bag....only once was soap so bad like lye and harsh from a buget hotel that I left...

 

Recently was at several Comfort Inns and liked their products and scent...

On some ships that shell shaped bowl is plastic, but on others it is a Revol porcelain/ceramic baking dish.

Revol is a high quality French bake ware manufacturer.

 

And yeah, I wanted the Revol dish.:)

 

Some of the ships have some Revol in the buffet areas.

It often has bees on it.

Just another bit of useless trivia.
