The Havana Cabanas?

They look AMAZING!!!!!:D:D

The only thing I am not certain of, looking at the artists rendition, is the privacy between them. I DO see a door, but then I see a large opening.

LOVE the fact that they have their own private pool during the day, and loungers.

Not having to fight the CHOGS........priceless.:D

Going to have to wait until April 2017 to try one. Seems like a waste to cruise out of NYC in Oct/Nov with one.

Hopefully those staying these rooms are mindful of their security. We've read about kids climbing over balcony partitions to steal alcohol from the mini bar in neighboring staterooms. I probably would use an alternate entrance that doesn't require leaving my balcony door unlocked unless another member of my traveling party is in the stateroom.

Definitely appealing to me but need more details. For example, what is the traffic flow by your cabin going to be like when they open up the Havana pool to everyone in the evening time?

I would LOVE to have one! We were pricing them for the TA but due to family planning issues it won't work for us. :/ maybe once she reaches her home port we'll be able to have our own hammock ;)

I also priced it for the TA, and it was not BAD! Not that I will be doing the TA, but just wanted to get a feel for what they're going to go for, and I was pleasantly surprised. Prices don't seem too bad for them.

Just curious about the privacy and the view.:D:D:D

We need more info too regarding these cabins. Once the Vista starts sailing & we get trip reports, our planning will start.

We heard from a long time Carnival employee that the Vista would homeport in Galveston. He was told by the suits. Curious to see if it is so because I would be thrilled!

I have absolutely no source at all but my guess is Miami. :)

Booked a cabana for the May 1st Inaugural. Will take lots of pics and report back. :)

I do believe that some people are making too much out of the "after 5" privacy thing. This is deck 5 aft. There will be dinners to go to, movies to watch, a casino to lose money in (lol), the piano bar, the Alchemy Bar, and so much more. I am having a difficult time imagining a horde of people traipsing down the outside promenade deck just to get to the back pool after five o'clock.

Yes there will be some but at that time of the day most will be getting ready for the nightly activities.

Anyway, that's just my opinion and I for one am very excited to be in one and look forward to watching the Mediterranean sunrises and sunsets from mine. :)

I would say there will be some traffic in the early evening. However, I bet the pool will close around 9 pm.

The decor of the rooms and cabanas are awesome and unlike anything I've seen before on a cruise ship. Props for that. However, how long will it take before the first Havana Cabana guest returns to their room and finds another guest hanging out in their cabana / laying on their hammock / etc. with those tiny little fences that even a child can climb over? I'd guess one day, tops.

...and let's not even think about drunk people from the Havana bar.

IMHO it's a really cool concept, but I just cannot see how it is feasible security wise with those tiny fences.

When you look at all the things next to the Havana Bar I think it will be a busy place indeed, especially if people are too tired to go to the MDR after all those ports hand want some informal drinks and food. There will also be lots of traffic from pool goers going to get food.

Theres the Red Frog pub and brewery,Piano bar, steakhouse,Bonsai sushi, taste bar, Ocean plaza, Havana, Cherry on top, fun shops, Liquid lounge and alchemy bar all on that deck so its going to be a busy place a lot of the time and especially in the evenings.

If the price was very low I would consider it but when you look at all the other balconies it does not seem worth it to me...especially on a cruise with few sea days (ours has 3).

Thats just my take anyway.

I like the family state rooms with the nautical theme, very cute. I wonder where the home port will be?

Me too! Love the nautical themes!

We haven't been on Carnival in a while, but I'm super excited about Vista.

I'm hoping to try one of the sailings from New York.

All those things on deck 5 so close are part of the draw for me. I love that everything is easily accessed. To me this will be such a bonus on a cruise that is so port intensive. Won't need to walk the ship to get to cocktails and food. More eating choices closer if we decide not to do the MDR.

I also love that so many have such varying ideas and opinions on these cabins. Makes for a terrific discussion. :)

I cannot not know if I will like these cabins or if they will turn out to be the nightmare space , but I am looking forward to finding out.

Booked Havana Cabana Suite for July 2016 Athens to Barcelona:D

I did a 24 hour hold on one for the Athens to Barcelona on May 24 but then changed my mind and got a regular balcony. This itinerary is so port intensive I felt like we would hardly be in the cabin and decided to wait until she comes to the US and get one.

For those that are interested in the smoking policy on the Vista, here is the official posting

Please note that after earlier discussions, we have designated the following locations where smoking will be permitted on the Carnival Vista:

• Deck 4 – Interior Space – Casino & Casino Bar

• Deck 11 – Exterior Space – Port side Aft

Do they even have a view of the sea?
