we are going on a back to back this may. i'd like inf on g etting off and on. we have the same cabin. do we have to get in long line to get a new card,etc? anything we should know? thanks ad

Usually two nights before turn around, they will drop off your new cards and info about getting off during turn around, including a "transit" pass to get back onboard without going through the check in lines.

It depends on what 2 cruises AND ship you are taking.

Depends on cruise.

 

If the cruise is totaled as one cruise such as a 14 day eastern and western, then it is considered one cruise with the same card same account same everything including casino points. If you are a rewards member reaching a new level during the 1st cruise you are screwed as it is treated as one.

 

If you are taking 2 seperate cruises with 2 seperate booking numbers then the above posters info is correct

I've heard that European cruises are quite different from NA cruises. (thus the request for more info.) Our next cruise is in Europe and we're doing a b2b too. But with NA cruises, everyone has to get off the ship until it's cleared, then they can get back on, but......with European cruises, not so much, it seems the rules are a bit more relaxed.

 

Is this correct?

It may depend on the ship. Some have multiple embarkation stops for the "same" cruise. Example Spirit you can get on or off in Barcelona or Malaga. I believe some Italy ones are the same.
