Just got a unbelievable surprise from our daughter and son inlaw booked us on Celebrity Infinity Alaskan cruise 06/21/15 for 45th. Have not cruised since September 2010 when we went to Hawaii on RCI Radiance of the Seas.. our40th. The cruise before that one was with Fiesta cruise line (now defunct) on Bolero in 2000

guess thats a dead give away we are not frequent cruisers. WE DONT GET OUT MUCH LOL

We had been looking prior to receiving this remarkable gift. Our daughter and son inlaw have really gone above and beyond. Guess we did something to deserve this. LOL.

Looking foward to hearing from all those who will be taking this cruise.

Sorry haven't been back to reply to your question. We are in an ocean view unobstructed. On the third deck. According to deck plans it appears we are under the casino... Music to my wifes ears she loves the casino. I dont expect to be spending a lot of time in the room. Hoping the "upgrade fairy" comes through and we can get a balcony. LOL Our ta says not to be too fussy, if we get offered the front or rear. I have some trepidation in regards to that. Rear meaning "stern" and "bow" front. It might have something to do with either noise or size. Sometimes I've heard that the galley can be located near these sections and size is somewhat compromised as well as noise. Im making further inquiries.

Do you get the impression I was a sailor? Not me.

We are going on this cruise as well! It is for my brother-in-law's 60th birthday.

 

I cannot find how to join the roll call or to join the meet and greet?.

 

I hope you can help me. I am really looking forward to this cruise, it will be my brother-in-laws first cruise, and my sister isn't such a good sailor. Lol

For the roll call simply go to the page where you clicked through to Celebrity and below that are roll calls - or simply do a search. Click on your ship and date. The rest should be simple.

 

Whenever you cannot find something on Cruise Critic simply do a search.

Welcome to Cruise Critic! If you go to the roll call section, you can find others who will be on your cruise. Enjoy!

 

So far there are no meet and great or roll calls for the date we are sailing. June 21st. but I will keep going back and checking. All the other dates for June of this year have meet and great, roll calls. As you know it's Father's Day June 21st, it's interesting that there isn't anything on the board yet.?? I might consider getting one started if there isn't anything by the end of the month.

Hi there.

 

I have checked the meet and great roll calls for the date June 21st and so far there isn't anything set up. Strange. The other cruising dates for the month of June on Infinity have something set up already. I will check back at the end of the month to see if anyone else is interested in a Meet and Greet

I have thoroughly searched the entire web site and have even contacted Celebrities Official Web site. Concerning the "meet and mingle" (greet)

roll calls for the sailing date June 21st. for Alaska on Celebrity Infinity.

After clicking on the Roll Call tool another page will come into view Click COMMUNITY and the Prompter will list the various items in the community and it will show the Meet and Mingle prompt, after clicking on that it will show another page, and than you enter the dates your cruising the ship. I've done that several times and they have nothing to show for that date.

I have also checked by putting our names in or the reservation number but either one should get some results but I know we are registered cause it says we are. I just find it weird that there are no "meet and greet" (Mingle) roll calls. I'm exhausted and frustrated.

I hope u have better luck than me.

I checked the roll call page for you and, indeed, there is no roll call started for your cruise. Very strange. I've never seen a cruise this close that doesn't have a roll call.

 

You can certainly start one and hope others show up. The other thing you can do if you're looking for information about tours is to check other roll calls that are doing the same itinerary. You could also go to the ports of call boards and get lots of information about Alaska.

 

I'm going to Alaska for the third time on the Infinity in May. If you have any specific questions, maybe I can help you out.

Well I've tried the roll calls and meet and greet, and I can't find how to add my group, but we are definitely going.

 

Interesting cruise if only a handful people on board ship! :)

Unfortunately I have not been able to devot the time to the RC

and M&G that I wanted too.. I have been looking after my sick wife who is recovering

from a serious back problems since the beginning of Feb. We had to rush her to the hospital and they discovered through CT scan 4 bulging discs 3 small ones and a larger one. We are also live in Nanny and Manny to our 3 yr old granddaughter. My wife also developed pneumonia on top of the back problems she was getting better until the coughing got so bad she developed another set back with her back. Before it was her lower right back and then this next episode went to to her lower left side. When the inflammation subsided she was finally able to get chiropractic treatments and thankfully her back is responding. Its been a whirlwind around here and it looks like there's light at the end of the tunnel (so to speak) Keep your fingers crossed.
