Going for the GOLD !!!

I have a question about going from RED to GOLD. We are currently RED with 23 days and will be on the March 8th sailing on the Liberty which will put us into the GOLD. If I understand right we will be Gold as we go onto the cruise because we will enter into the 25th day as we are on the cruise? Hope all that made sense.

Yes you will have a gold card at embarkation and, therefore, receive the gold benefits.

Things may have changed but on our last trip we went from gold to platinum during the trip. They said we had to wait untill that trip was over. That was during the time they were changing the program. I wish you the best.

We turned gold during our 2014 cruise. We were considered gold from the start of the cruise even though we would actually turn gold midway through.

They mucked up then ! You should have had priority boarding, the full meal deal-- we did on the cruise we became Platinum.

Yes, a lot of mistakes were made during the trasition. I don't think two people at Carnival knew or agreed what was suppose to happen.

That's how ours was, we turned platinum on the second leg, but received the benefits on the first leg.

I think the reason for the pages being down is that carnival is making changes to the program. Per reports from some cruisers they received email from carnival indicating they are taking away the free drink coupon and replacing it with a bottle of water in the cabin.. At least for red and gold... Not sure if other changes are coming, so I would keep checking the web page

We turn gold on our next cruise. The only benefit is a pin and ability to go to past guest party. Now they have taken our free drink coupon away. It's a loooooooooong way to platinum.
