Where on the Quantum class ships (anthem of the seas) can you find the nightclub?!

Recommended Posts

Hi guys!

I have been on a few royal Caribbean cruises and really enjoy the late nightclubs, however I'm having loads of trouble trying to find out where the club is on the Quantum Class ships

I have seen many posts saying it's the music hall but others saying different!!!

Any one that has travelled on these new ships able to confirm where the late club is!? Is it in the music hall? How good was it when you were aboard?

Also I'm travelling from Southampton on the Anthem of the seas on the 4th July 2015. :D

Thanks!

So there actually is NO Nightclub. The Music Hall does feature Live Bands and after that a DJ covers the additional opening hours. But the venue really is more aimed at live music, than a typical style of Royal Caribbean nightclub.

There is also the 270 Venue, which is used as a lounge during the day, a show venue early evening, and then a DJ for the later hours. However It does not have a club feel to it, and was very under used during the early sailings. There is also a DJ that plays in the Bionic bar but with a lounge feel with the music being bibey rather than dance. Hope that helps :D

The Music Hall serves as the late night venue onboard Quantum. While not purposed venues like the ones they have started removing from Freedom and Voyager class of ships, it would be similar to the replacement lounges and venues on ships where the nightclub has moved to the Viking Crown or similar to the Radiance Class venues. The DJ in the Music Hall is in a station that hangs out over the dance floor on the upper level.

The tables at the end of the casino moving toward the back of the Music Hall were also very popular with small groups spending hours together socializing well into the morning hours.

The Casino bar serves as a very late night venue as well and was very popular late into the night on my sailing. Smokers also come down here all through earlier evening from the very popular Boleros as there is a spiral staircase right there.

I have not heard anything about the SeaPlex actually being used for parties, but there were reports of a 'floating' DJ booth there. I am not sure if this could be used late night or not.

The "nightclub" is 100% definitely in the Music Hall.

When Jimmy Rhodes was CD on Quantum, Two70 also had house music going but there were maybe 2-3 couples any given night... that venue is just not good for a nightclub at all. One night they tried a Solarium club night (like they do on Oasis/Allure) but it was poorly attended (maybe because of the older demographic on board my sailing) and most everyone who checked it out went right back down to the trustworthy Music Hall to continue the evening.

Thanks for the info. Considering the older demographic, how was the crowd when the DJ was spinning in the Music Hall? I'm expecting an older demographic on my Anthem cruise, so I'm curious to hear if there was still a decent crowd most nights.

1st couple of days on my cruise they had a Tribute Band "Beatlemania" playing and the place was packed. I did go back to check things out after their set was done and it was really empty. Other nights they had the house band before any DJs and it was well attended also. I spent the first 4-5 nights at Boleros as I really enjoy the Latino scene as well. Later in the cruise the Music Hall was much busier, dance floor full, really good time! They had "Groovy Town" (the new name for the 70's party) two different nights and both of those went past midnight, packed both nights.

Hope it works out well with you on your sailing. Have a great cruise! :D
