RCL newbie - Solarium

Yes I've seen pics and the 'Solarium' looks very nice. In a few days will be my 1st RCCL cruise.

Is the Solarium truly "quiet" most of the day?

In the early morning, say 7am-8am -is it usually with very few people?

Hoping it's a nice tranquil place where I can start my day with a magazine, the water, etc - quiet, crowd-free, etc

Thanks

The Quantum Solarium had loud music all day long. Some ships have hardly noticeable nature sounds piped in. Vast majority of ships the Solarium is very quiet.

At 7am it should be quiet. Late in the day young adults will sometimes (very seldom) make the hot tubs a party area.

Enjoy your cruise.

Depends on the ship...all "solariums" are NOT created equally! 7-8am is VERY quiet...not much going on that early!

On Radiance class ships, it's enclosed, so you can't tan there...it's sort of like a "hot house"...humid, but pretty!

On Voyager/Freedom class, the Solarium is open...so tanning is possible...That's my favorite solarium experience. I don't want to be "under glass"...I want to be away fro the masses of families and kids..and still be able to catch some rays!
