Room 14748 - too close to elevators/stairs?

We have a spa balcony on the Getaway, and were assigned 14748, which is DIRECTLY at the hallway entrance from the front elevators and stairs.

On one hand, super convenient. On the other hand, we are worried about elevator and doorway noise from people entering the hallway.

Our spa balcony room on the Getaway last time was at the very front of the ship, and was awesome and quiet. I don't recall how loud the doorway was into the hallway to know if this is a concern.

Has anyone had a room in this vicinity that can shed some light on this room choice? Thanks in advance.

Was not on Getaway, but on breakaway several times. On breakaway, which is very similar to getaway, as well as on all the jewel class ships, we generally choose a room to the immediate right or left of the elevator bank for convenience (yes, we are lazy and dont want to walk a mile to get to the elevators...)

Only one time, on one occasion, did noise ever disturb us, and that was one late night when there was a group of LOUD drunken teenagers hanging around the elevator area trying to decide what to do because everywhere they were permitted to be was closed (god knows where their parents were -- it was like 3 AM -- I'd kill my kid who wasnt back in cabin long before 3Am)). We called and complained, and someone moved them along within minutes.

I had the room directly beneath yours... You cannot hear the elevators at all.. nor do you hear any stair traffic normally... The elevators are very quiet, and the ding they make is very subtle.

We had a cabin right around the corner of the elevators on BA on deck 10 and it was perfect. We didn't have to walk down the long narrow corridor. No noise whatsoever.

I don't think you will have any trouble.

Have a great cruise!

Ditto for me. Just booked a spa balcony rm 14748 on the Breakaway for our August cruise to Bermuda. Casino at Seas booking agent warned about possible loud noises in that room because of the location. I'm glad to see that there were no problems! Wife will be glad to hear that also!

I just returned from Breakaway. Our stateroom was spa balcony #14164. Based on our location, elevator noise was a non-issue for us....however, noise was a huge factor ! POOL noise from Deck 15 above. The pool chaises were constantly dragged around starting at 5:30 am and lasted about an hour. You would also hear deck 15 being hosed down - sometimes in the middle of the night. And there are late night pool parties where you hear loud music. You might be far enough away from the pool, but just wanted to make you aware of what we experienced. The stateroom itself was wonderful, but I would never ever do the deck under the pool area again.

Sometimes you gotta take the good with the bad lol. It would be awesome to be that close to the elevators and stairs

Sorry to hear about the pool noise, however 14748 looks like its under the end of the fitness center and far away enough from the pool. I'm hoping that that's the case! T-26 days and counting ( I gotta figure out how to do that "countdown" thing again!)
