#4'smom Posted February 15, 2015 #1 Share Posted February 15, 2015 (edited) We are booked into AQ cabin 9044 on the Infinity in Panama Canal. After reading the CC Cabin review of deck 9, I am concerned about the overhead noise from deck 10 with the solarium and pool. Last year we sailed on the Summit and had an aft cabin with the outdoor bar above and the scraping of chairs drove us crazy! I am hoping that someone who may have stayed in that cabin or any surrounding ones would be able to let me know how it was. I am considering upgrading to deck 11 :) Edited February 15, 2015 by #4'smom
alcpa1 Posted February 15, 2015 #2 Share Posted February 15, 2015 We've sailed on all of the M class ships, often on deck 9. Hank, a Cruise Critic guru, recommends cabins aft of 9108 on the starboard side and its equal on the port side. We've followed his advice and those cabins are quieter than the mid ships cabins under the pool deck. We have never stayed under the solarium. BC Eddie Posted February 17, 2015 #3 Share Posted February 17, 2015 We were in 9120 just two weeks ago and heard very little noise above us. Only once or twice on the whole trip I heard what sounded like chairs being dragged across the floor above. But this lasted only for seconds. Rob the Cruiser Posted February 17, 2015 #4 Share Posted February 17, 2015 We were in 9056 on eastbound Panama Canal last year. There was some noise a few times in the morning when attendants were setting up chairs. As BC Eddie stated, it was over in seconds. No big deal. ECCruise Posted February 17, 2015 #5 Share Posted February 17, 2015 Check the sticky for M-class cabins. See if a cabin you are considering is listed. Some have found no problems with noise, some have a bit of problem and some say "no way I would ever do that cabin again!"
