Foreign transaction fee

Our Australia/New Zealand cruise coming up says that the onboard currency and folio charges are in AU Dollars. When we pay the onboard account at the end of the cruise with a credit card will the payment be subject to foreign transaction fees?

 

I have one credit card that doesn't charge a foreign transaction fee and one that does, but I'd rather use the one that does charge the foreign transaction fee.

The foreign transaction fee is between you and your bank, so if the cruise is charged in AU dollars, your bank will see that and charge you the fee. I would rather save the 1-3%.

If you use the one that charges a foreign transaction fee, then you will pay a foreign transaction fee to your credit card company.

 

You have to decide if that one is worth using.
