cwbabe48 Posted February 22, 2015 #1 Share Posted February 22, 2015 With the ease of just using my iPhone 6 for pictures and the fun of selfies, has anyone had any experience using a selfie stick on the cruise? Your opinions are greatly appreciated. Thanks Marcia

Clarea Posted February 22, 2015 #3 Share Posted February 22, 2015 If you do a search on live reviews by a poster named Radio, you will see some examples of photos taken with a selfie stick.

cwbabe48 Posted February 23, 2015 Author #10 Share Posted February 23, 2015 Ive not used the bluetooth on my phone, guess I need to educate myself on using the stick with my iPhone 6. I like the spur of the moment want to take a selfie and am concerned the stick will be cumbersome. Any help would be great. Thanks
angelrebellion Posted February 23, 2015 #11 Share Posted February 23, 2015 I love my selfie stick, although it embarrassed our teen. There are four quick steps to use it. 1. Place the phone in the holder. 2. Put the plug in the phone's headphone jack. 3. Open the Looq app on your smartphone. 4. Extend the handle, get a good shot, and click the button! It takes about fifteen seconds. And the stick folds down small enough to put in my purse. Mine fits my iphone 6 in its case.

Oak Hill Cruisers Posted February 23, 2015 #14 Share Posted February 23, 2015 The selfie stick must be stopped. Not enough bandwidth and HD storage for the extra pix that will continue to ensue. ;-)
robtulipe Posted February 23, 2015 #15 Share Posted February 23, 2015 (edited) I just bought the iTech unit shown below for $3CAD plus sales tax in a Dollarama store here in Ontario to get the monopod for use with our digital cameras. As you can see it came with a spring clamp type phone mount. Monopod has screw mount for camera/phone holder and even has a screw hole in handle so it can be mounted on a tripod. Monopod extends from 8" to 37", has a nice rubber handle and is made from light weight aluminum with a plastic bracket and steel screw shafts. robtulipe Posted February 23, 2015 #16 Share Posted February 23, 2015 Here's a link to a youtube video on the iTech kit above. The one I got didn't come with the small tripod but appears to be the same other wise. Price mentioned in video was 5.95 GBP which is almost 4X what I paid for this kit.
