If you prepaid your gratuities, then they can ask you for the difference, at least that's my understanding...

Pretty sure NYC meant to say cannot . . . or maybe can't. ;)

Either way, once prepaid you won't owe more on board.

A silly ? But If I prepay my daily service charge tonight before the increase but I don't sail until May will I pay the difference once on board?

Just trying to save wherever possible.

No, if you prepay today you get the lower rate.

They are all correct, pay tonight to save some cash (which you would have to pay anyways, so it really is a deal).

 

You will NOT be asked for more when you sail in May, if you prepay now.

 

Enjoy your cruise! We are cruising in May too, this is a good reminder to go ahead and pay ours at the lower rate!
