Rare Buffettfan 225 Posted March 7, 2015 #53 Share Posted March 7, 2015 All appetizers were individual. The only change was the table got a basket of assorted bread. Thankfully no more waiting for the waiter to come. Bread basket at table is awesome. Can anyone tell me the size of kids menu entrees- is hamburger an adult size? Rare Buffettfan 225 Posted March 7, 2015 #54 Share Posted March 7, 2015 Thank you so much for posting these new menus....very nice:D I now have a question about the seafood offerings....it still seems that the only fish offered daily is the salmon..... Unfortunately, we are completely tired of salmon or talapia.:( We were wondering if we could ask if there was another fish available, could we request it in the MDR at dinner? We love mahi-mahi, red snapper, etc. and all firm, white fish, and would love to be able to know something other than salmon could be offered... It has been my experience that given enough time they will try to help. So perhaps speak with maitre'd sand request another type of fish for next night etc. that way may be able to prepare it. How about fish fingers from kids menu? ( just kidding)
ccruisequeen Posted March 7, 2015 #55 Share Posted March 7, 2015 I wonder if the Imagination/Inspiration have gotten the new menus on the 3/4 day cruises? Can anyone confirm? Of course, they will probably be different by October.
HectorAchilleus Posted March 7, 2015 #56 Share Posted March 7, 2015 Generally the menu looks great. Some new additions and several old favorites. One thing I will miss, however, is that they no longer have chicken strips as an appetizer. They also removed them from ships that have Guy's Burgers, so one of my favorites has gone the way of the grilled cheese triangles that I also miss. Overall, though, a good menu. Velvetwater Posted March 7, 2015 #57 Share Posted March 7, 2015 From an observation the new menus have some great items and good changes. I especially like the look of the flatbreads and the port of call options are a good idea (hopefully they do local cuisine justice). However, the desserts have been limited somewhat which is a shame, as well as some varying seafood options. Many will whoop to see Bitter and Blanc as an option there though. That being said, I am an easy person to please food wise as I will eat almost anything so will still resume my normal dining room habits on the Vista next year. cruisingbajan Posted March 7, 2015 #58 Share Posted March 7, 2015 Thanks for taking the time to post. The options available look quite good. :) There are also some nights that I would have great difficulty deciding what to eat. This never happened with the old ones.:)

Rare Buffettfan 225 Posted March 7, 2015 #62 Share Posted March 7, 2015 We had these menus on Liberty in September and loved them. I wish these menus were available now on all ships. As another poster mentioned, I don't understand why people don't like these. The new menus are so much better than the old ones. I was looking for any food photos cruisers may have taken of some of the items from American Table.

Of course, they will probably be different by October. This is a direct quote from Carnival Ambassador John Heald's facebook page:"The new and improved American Table menu that features many of your requests and lots of new and now extremley popular items can be found on Carnival Liberty, Carnival Glory, Carnival Inspiration, Carnival Imagination , Carnival Freedom and Carnival Breeze." I assume the new American table menus are being tweaked on those ships first. eng4 Posted March 8, 2015 #67 Share Posted March 8, 2015 Thanks for posting! We enjoyed these menus on the Liberty last year, and for the life of me, I can't understand why some people are upset over them. Most of the old favorites are still available. We enjoyed them on the Liberty last year also.
2 cruzen Posted March 8, 2015 #68 Share Posted March 8, 2015 Just got Glory Feb 28th with American Table and had most of these items. I'm kicking myself because I may have missed Bitter and Blanc. We had a bread pudding listed but it was not called B&B. Oh well. Anyway, I found the hot soups to be lacking in flavor over past cruises and NOBODY at our table liked the breaded fried shrimp that we had the first night. It was mostly breading. With that being said, the flatbread was FANTASTIC, especially the bar b q chicken one. Several times we requested entrees as appetizers...cannelloni, lasagna, and ravioli can all be served in a smaller portion.

2 cruzen Posted March 8, 2015 #70 Share Posted March 8, 2015 Do these menus offer the Steakhouse Selections options? Yes The actual menu charged too. It used to be somewhat big and bulky. Now it's a trifold and much more manageable.
catlady922 Posted March 8, 2015 #71 Share Posted March 8, 2015 Thank you for posting the menus. I'm going on the Dream next January. It's my 2nd cruise, but the first on Carnival. Everything looks so good on the new menus. I'm not sure how I'm going to decide what I'm going to eat lol. I'm not a picky eater and I love to try new things. Conch and Alligator are definitely on my list!:)

My faux pas....big apology.I have followed your reviews before, but will go back & re familiarize - the whole review! glad to see how familiar names pop up. I once again say how sorry I am about your loss, but how you continue to celebrate life & memories cruising created. trvl_fanatic Posted March 8, 2015 #75 Share Posted March 8, 2015 Curious, what is the difference btwn the "American table menus" & the old menus? Obviously the food, but is the setup different? Or is it just a revamp of the older menus?
