Best Frozen Drinks?

I've had several non-alcohol frozen drinks. Love the strawberry dachori. There were several nights the DOD was brought with the shot of alcohol on the side and the bartender would pour it in in front of them.

My favorite is the Caribbean Colada. You can get it from the Red Frog Rum Bar, the Red Frog Pub, or the Blue Iguana Bar. It's a pina colada with a few yummy extras:

banana, coconut and pineapple. Add a floater of Gosling’s Black Seal Rum for $2.00"

 

Adding the floater is DEFINITELY the way to go.

So I used to LOVE frozen drinks. Now I can't seem to get passed 1 or 2. Just too sweet and they make me feel ill unfortunately.

 

What is a good drink to order at the pool (I love wine and champagne the rest of the time so that isn't an issue). I want a refreshing NOT super sweet drink at the pool. I am not a soda drinker either so not into Rum and Cokes, etc...

 

I was curious if the Vodka lemonade mentioned was sugary sweet?!

 

I would love a bucket with a nice bottle of champagne by the pool but I don't think they allow it.

They don't allow glass bottles or glasses at the pool, but you can get a flute of champagne (served in a plastic champagne glass) or even a mimosa from the Lido bar. How about a vodka or gin and tonic? ;)

A mojito sounds like a good option!

Ahh didn't think of mojitos! That could work and then alternate days, bellinis, champagne by the glass could work. I like Gin drinks but more at night and usually with items not served on ships (ie St Germain and Champagne). I can't handle Tonic ick.

 

My ultimate fave drink is a French 75 (Made with Champagne, Bourbon, splash of lemon juice). Not sure if they would make these on the ship in the bars in the evening. Oooh, must try! Will they get creative if something isn't on a menu?

I like my frozen drinks. Not much into cocktails or hard liquor, beer, or wine. Fav drinks include dirty monkey, mud slide, sex on the beach, amaretto sour, long island ice tea, blue Hawaii, etc. In your opinion, what are some of the best frozen drinks on Carnival? I like trying new things, but I generally stick to what I know and like. Thanks for your input! Sailing on Carnival in a couple weeks!

 

There was a time in the last, just forget how far back, that Carnival seemed to team up with Fat Tuesdays, and where serving the best drinks at sea.

 

And then they disappeared just as quickly. Then they were inferior to anything I was used to.

Does Breeze have Alchemy Bar? Just cruised the Liberty and my friend would go to the A. Bar every night and she would tell the bartenders what kind of alcohol she was in the mood for and they would make some concoction and she RAVED about every single drink they made her. :D

I LOVE mojitos. If you find a bartender that makes one just as you like it, stick with him/her. I had 3 mojitos made by 3 different bartenders the lst day of our Liberty cruise. lst one was too sweet, 2nd one was too tart, 3rd one was JUST RIGHT! :p CHEERS!

I THINK I recall some kind of frozen orange drink. I can't stand those orange/vanilla popsicles so didn't pay much attention. Might have been a DOD one day but don't quote me. Someone else might know. :confused::rolleyes: CHEERS!

The Breeze does not have the Alchemy Bar :( Though you may be able to get them to make you a French 75 at one of the other bars. I'd try the casino bar. They definitely stock champagne there, and during the "pool hours" of the day, they won't be as crowded as the pool bars.

 

As far as mojitos go, the Red Frog Pub makes some excellent ones. If you're sunning on the Lanai on deck 5, you'll be very close by. In addition to a regular mojito, they have several flavored ones that are AWESOME (strawberry, mango, passion fruit, raspberry, coconut, melon, and peach), the Ting Mojito (hints of grapefruit) and the Dirty Mojito (made with dark rum).

 

Mojitos are also a Classic Cocktail, so they did count towards match play in the casino. John Heald has confirmed that match play is gone for the time being, but if they bring it back in time for your cruise in 8 days, you'll be golden with all those mojitos!

Carnival does definitely makes some awesome frozen drinks! Their pina colada was WAAAY better than that restaurant that invented the Pina Colada in San Juan. So much more REAL tasting! (And stronger!)

 

The mojito is my fave non-frozen.

 

Frozen Mango margaritas are also very good!!!---if they use real mango or at least mango purée.

 

I don't usually care for super sweet frozen drinks either. They don't sit well in my tummy.
