William W Posted March 12, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 12, 2015 (edited) I'm looking at booking an inside cabin for 2. Consider they would only give $25 OBC under the current promo. Do you think their prices would come down once the 3rd to 8th passengeer promo is over? After all, is it fair to assume NCL elevated the first 2 passenger prices for an inside cabin to off set some of the cost of the 3rd to 8th passenger sail free or half price promo? Paul Bogle Posted March 12, 2015 #2 Share Posted March 12, 2015 This recent thread provides some incite into how fares change. It is well worth the read. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2115592 The only certainty is that fares change all the time. On any given sailing prices may go down or they may go up. The driving factor will be how a particular category on a specific sailing is selling.

There has not been any across the board elevation in prices - some cruises yes, but definitely not to most. And even with those "some cruises" it's usually cruises where 3rd and up are 50% off and they raised those 3rd and up prices (not passengers 1 and 2) before the promo to offset the effect of the promo. For example our 2016 cruise has been the same price it was already before the promos started. Edited March 12, 2015 by Demonyte

I don't think that it is fair to assume anything about cabin costs. They are what they are and they change constantly. Check the thread that is mentioned above about pricing. I was simply thinking that because the Interior for 2 cabin category are discounted the "least" as compare to your other categories. (ie, Inside for more than 2, or any of the Oceanview or above). Thus, they may not be selling that well as there is really very little incentive to book an Interior category that could only accomodate 2. Casino Comp Chick Posted March 12, 2015 #7 Share Posted March 12, 2015 I think they will because people obviously have been booking every category except the insides to get the promos. I think they will have an overabundance of insides left on every sailing
