collijoha Posted March 26, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 26, 2015 I've just e-mailed the manager of the Best Guides and she told me that we two are the only participants in the group tour in May. As it is rather soon I'm afraid that they could cancel this tour because of the amount of people in the group. I'm very nervous because of this situation, does anyone know is it possible that the tour will be cancelled? Probably anyone had this kind of experience or heard about something similar? Many thanks in advance! Jo
Rare fabnfortysomething Posted March 26, 2015 #2 Share Posted March 26, 2015 have you asked them what would be the cost if there was only the 2 of you? Best guides was one of the companies we considered a few years ago for our group of 3 and for a customised tour they gave us a definite price
Giantfan13 Posted March 26, 2015 #3 Share Posted March 26, 2015 I have never heard of a company cancelling a booked tour. I have heard that maybe they might link you up on a tour with people from another ship, if you want the group rate. Really, that is no big deal. Have you tried your roll call and see if you can recruit another couple or two from that? Personally, I was so persuasive, I recruited about 35 people from our roll call, which ended up in two busses. it never hurts to ask, right?? LondonTowner Posted March 27, 2015 #4 Share Posted March 27, 2015 We booked the 2 day Comfort Tour with Alla Tours. When we arrived in SPB there were just the two of us and one other couple. It was great as it was like having a private tour. We were never asked to pay any extra.
