On our last flight we flew different airlines each way. On the first, we both got pre check tickets. On the second, only I had pre check on my ticket. We asked and they said he could not get in the pre-check line with me, but I could get in line with him and not take my shoes off, ect.

My wife had pre check and I did not I couldn't go thru so she got in line with me.

Many thanks for your review and pictures. We are doing the same trip on Aug.23rd and was wondering when they do the VIFP repeaters party. We are Diamond members and enjoy getting up on the stage for our group picture. Just wanted to know what day it was so when can plan ahead. Many thanks!! John & Priscilla :)

I was on the Conquest in November, and aside from an issue with our steward (he propositioned me...believe it or not!) I loved that cruise! The Alchemy bartenders and the Taste Bar guys! The Red Frog and the Blue Iguana...and the Dive In Movie...I'm missing it and reliving it with your review!!

Thank you!!

  • 2 weeks later...

We are going out on the Conquest in about three weeks on the same itinerary and would like to get a copy of your Funtimes to post on our Facebook page. We have a lot of first time cruisers and it would be nice to show them what to expect as far as activities, shows, etc.

Thanks in advance, Chris

I have seen lots of people asking for a copy of the funtimes. I just have a questions for embarkation day so hopefully you can just look and give me a quick answer. What time does the alchemy bar open that day?

THanks

For future reference - anyone traveling with you is eligible to get in the prescient line with you -:)

This actually is not correct. The only passengers that can go through the TSA Pre line are those with TSA Pre on their boarding passes and children traveling with you that are 12 and under.

Absolutely correct, when they were giving out PreCheck randomly, DW got it I didn't I was not allowed thru PreCheck.

Then I got it and she didn't but I stayed with her. I kind TSA Agent (yes there is this rare species) doing the document check (ID/Boarding Pass) pointed this out and when I told her that my wife did not want to go thru without me the TSA agent wrote "Pre Check" on my boarding pass and directed us to the precheck line.

FWIW

You got lucky, this is an exception and people should not expect this to be the case.

It's all here: http://www.tsa.gov/tsa-precheck/frequently-asked-questions

Specifically:

Q. If my family is traveling with me, can they also use the TSA Pre✓® lane?

A. Family members ages 12 and under, traveling with an eligible parent or guardian that has a TSA Pre✓® indicator on their boarding pass, can participate in expedited screening. However, family members 13 and older must go through standard security lanes or should apply for a DHS Trusted Traveler program for TSA Pre✓® eligibility.

Have you folks ever written a photo-filled review? It takes FOREVER! And sometimes life gets in the way when you return home.

I make notes during the cruise (or else by Day 3 I've forgotten details of Day 1). When I get home, it takes a long time to upload photos. Then, I usually sit down and write up everything in Word, just because it's easier to edit. Then, I start the review and copy and paste here, then have to find and add the photos one by one. All this with having to unpack, do laundry, grocery shop, and work every day.

ANYWAY, I'm leaving Sunday on this itinerary and I'll write a review. I've been to all the ports before and don't have much planned. I've been on the ship before so probably won't take many ship photos. I'm solo and part of the Premier Casino group so won't be doing ship activities other than living in the casino, eating and sleeping. Since it's my 22nd Carnival cruise, I won't be taking lots of food photos, either.

But I will write a review. And I appreciate the time that anyone takes to write up their thoughts at all.

Conquest doesn't have American Table. FunTimes can be found online. Lots of this info can be found in other threads and elsewhere on the internet, folks. I know we all like to be spoonfed info rather than searching and doing our own homework, though, don't we? ;)

I personally really like the "All Things Shipname" threads where that sort of info can be accumulated.

Did you have the american table menus or the regular menus for dinner? What day was lobster night and what day was the welcome back party? thanks

Conquest is scheduled to get the American Table in August.
