Disembarking in Venice

Does anyone know if there is a restriction on what time you can disembark in Venice? We are thinking of taking a 9:50am flight so we would need to disembark by 6. We are there overnight the night before. I have never been in port overnight so I am not sure what the rules about coming and going are.

THANKS!!

We arranged a pick up @ 4:30n AM for our flight. Taxi was there right on time - driver was wonderful - escorted us to our ticket counter and made sure we got checked in correctly. He really earned his tip! We set the pick up online with a shuttle company before leaving on cruise and then confirmed while onboard.

Hi,

We disembark in Venice and I believe have to be off the ship by 9.30am. Our flights do not go until 3.30 or so and there are no HAL excursions that will take people who fly out prior to 5pm.

We don't want to sit at the airport all day and certainly can't carry all our luggage about. Does anyone have any suggestions. I asked HAL and they said there may be limited numbers of lockers at port but suggested we ask on board but had no definite answer.

A short morning tour that would take our luggage as well as us would be good. We need to be at the airport for about 1pm. Thanks M

The problem is that there are not many places in Venice you can go in a car (which could stow your luggage).

There is a left-luggage facility at the port and another one at Piazzale Roma. If you are planning to get to the airport via the express bus or by taxi, the Piazzale Roma one is very convenient. (To get there you take the People Mover from the port.)

I have also heard that these facilities can fill up. I'd want to get there earlier rather than later if my plan involves leaving luggage for the day....

We are disembarking in Venice after overnighting here, and plan to take a train to Rome afterwards. What time is breakfast served? Trying to establish what train we should take, I'd love to make the 9:37am train, but don't want to miss the chance for breakfast on the ship before leaving.

I think I've settled on leaving from Venice Mestre (take a car there) rather than trying to get to the one closer that we'd have to walk to.

Would you care to share the contact information for the shuttle company and your driver's name?

That post is a year old. That poster is currently on the Koningsdam in the Med. EM
