Zaandem inside cabin

Looking at the South America 34 day cruise in Mar. 2016. Can anyone give me their perspective on cabins J1905 and J1854. The configuration is lengthwise instead of sideways. Any advantages/disadvantages? Noise? Actually anything you think I should know to make an informed decision. Thanks so much.

wyobean I had a very quick look at the deck plans for Zaandam, and with my cursory "inspection" it looks like there might be "white space" above 1854. You might want to double check that yourself, and if it is white space, do more searching to see if you can find out what is above 1854 ....

Good call, CP!

I am trying to think what this space is. Nothing very serious or I would remember! Not a staircase area. Probably a cabins stewards' area or just a connections between port and starboard. I think it is OK.
