How you get a free cruise from the casino.

All I know is that the term "free" is subjective in this case. It's not really free if you are spending that much money in the casino. They are getting their money from you one way or another.

Hey, you are right, Carnival knows marketing and they are not going to give a "free cruise" to someone who is not going to pay for it in some way.

That cannot be right. That means that you have to spend a minimum of $2,000 on slots. I was with my friend, and I know she did not spend that much, and she was awarded a free cruise.

5,000 x $2.50 = $12,500 ... or am I missing something?

Has anyone ever been offered a free cruise after winning a big amount? My second hand last cruise I won big. Played on and off the rest of the cruise.

How big was big? I won $450 the first day on the Glory last year, Carnival got it all back and then some lol.

We were on the Pride two weeks ago for a Premier Cruise. We received 2 free cruises for an interior room but had to complete cruise by August 31st. I also won the slot tournament where they gave me a free cruise on the Dream for May 25th which I will NOT be using (non transferable too!). I had over 13,000 points but there were people in the casino with over 24,000!!

We will probably not go again on a Premier Cruise because the casino was so crowded!! Not all the tables were open (however ALL smoking tables were open) and the craps table was only open a few hours a day with people waiting in line to play. They said they didn't have enough dealers...I said "not my problem!!"

All the trinkets we were given were ok...but honestly we go to gamble and it was just too crowded!!

The easiest way to earn free cruises with Carnival is to consistently lose, LOL!

I have two freebies that I can use from a land Casino right now that I'm not going to use, plus some VIP premiere offers. Frankly, though we're treated very well by the Casino staff, I'm fed up with the lack of cooperation from the VIP Casino Services prior to sailing. Basically I've been told that so long as I use the land Casino vouchers, they won't be offering me Bounce Back or Casino cash. I'm going to hold out and wait to be lured back with a better offer. The Premiere offers are nice, but the dates are restrictive, so I'm tired of being frozen out of the Bounce Back offers. We are sailing again in June and without another cruise booked, I refuse to book another until I get a free cabin and my choice of dates.

They are not "FREE" cruises.. you paid for them a couple of times over. I know I have received them after spending enough to have just bought them.. and with better cabins than what they gave me. The trick is to play a lot of money that you "won" so it looks like you have spent a lot. But if you give that much money back to them, i would ask... what's the point?

Don't play hoping to get a free cruise. Play for the enjoyment and then stop...

I got a free interior cruise on the day I was debarking and I did not hit 5k. My last cruise was 03/29. I booked for June 20th. I really wasn't planning on cruising this year due to finances. But the reason I booked on 03/29 is because I got a casino offer for 100 plus port fees for TWO people WITH 50 onboard credit for each person. I could not believe it. We upgraded to a balcony cabin with prepaid gratuities for right at 500.00. My offer that I used for June was 540 for oceanside with tips. No onboard credit. I really should have waited but we missed Roatan and I am praying that we make it this time.

If you use a bounce back offer you receive no casino cash however you can get the DOU card upon embarking. With the Premier cruise we got 45% off the cruise and casino cash.

So if you pay for the cruise you get casino cash, if you get a free cruise NO CASH!! I think its a wash?

Has anyone had any luck getting a DOU card upon embarkation if you gambled on your last cruise? We earned right at 5000 points and we cruise again in June. Was hoping for the DOU card right away if possible. I am going to email and ask, I know they will probably give us a little casino cash, we got some last time but the DOU card is worth more over the course of a week.

Also, if you play a lot in the casino, introduce yourself to the casino host. I introduced myself and thanked the hosts for the strawberries they sent to my room plus the free cruise (since that's the offer I was sailing on). They were very nice. I played the slot tournament the next day and the host called me over on the microphone and gave me an envelope with the offer for a free cruise. I honestly think that she recognized my name and wanted to be nice. I've also gotten free drinks from the casino host/manager by talking with them on the shorter cruises since they don't offer the Drinks On Us program for the short cruises.

It can't hurt to schmooze a little, plus it puts you on their radar. :)

I believe there is a lot of creedence behind this. DH plays in the casino alot. He made his introduction to the casino host and the next day we received the strawberries. That night he introduced me to the casino host and I thanked her as well. The next day we had cookies in the room. Went down to the casino and thanked her again. The next day nothing. I went down and teased her that we didn't have any goodies in our room. The morning of debarkation, DH had the free cruise offer under the door. I think he only had aobut 3500 points.

I've determined on my last cruise there really is no rhyme or reason behind them slipping the offer under your door on the last night. My cabinmate did win big but had less points than i did and got the offer. Another person in our group played very little won about 800 the first day and got the offer but barely went back to the casino and play for any length of time. I had the most points and must likely lost the most and i didn't get the offer. I also did have one big win of around 650. Yes my points were over 5000. So really no rhyme or reason behind the bounce back offers. I'm just happy if they would offer me more special offers within the member area. I got a great deal on a cruise for June through the casino and there were so many more options then they got with their bounce back offer. The offers were open in February. Haven't seen anything since.

OK, I whined about this quite a lot when I returned from my 1st-ever Premier cruise (11/29 Freedom). For the first time, I played something other than slots. I rarely play enough to even get the drink card, but I do spend time every day/evening in the casino.

Anyway, I played Roulette for the first time on Freedom and actually didn't lose every cent! I really enjoyed it.

Casino hostess said the Premier-only slot tournament on the last day would be open to those with >2,000 points. I asked her more than once how we would know if we were playing slots and table. She said they would combine the points.

So, having about 1,300 points on my card from slot play, I went up, she checked her list and said "don't know what you were worried about!" Of course, I did nothing in the tournament. But I also did not get a free offer like just about every other Premier player received.

When I got home, I emailed the players club to ask how the points at the roulette wheel were counted. I detailed what happened with my being eligible for the slot tournament (so I must've had more than 2,000 points combined at that time). I continued to get evasive responses.

Finally, I got this response...

Table players don’t actually accumulate points. They’re provided with comps based on losses or total time playing.

My last email to them was to the effect that "what you're telling me is that since I played slots and roulette, I actually hurt my chances of getting a comp offer although I spent more money and more time in the casino???!!!"

So what you're saying is I should sit down at the wheel, get my chips, get my free drink, and play every 5 hands and I'm more likely to get a comp offer than if I actually play? How stupid is that? Someone posted before that that's because some people actually win at table games where the majority of people lose at slots. I can believe that!

I'm sailing 5/31 on Conquest for another Premier cruise (not free by any means, especially since I'm solo, but the $300 cash helps). I may have to try this technique.

I just got off the Miracle this past Saturday. I accrued 4001 points during the 7 days. Mid-week, I got cookies delivered. Friday night I got a bottle of wine delivered to the MDR. Later Friday night, I received a bounceback free cruise to be taken by August 31. BTW, this is my first time sailing with Carnival.

I think the roulette "system" would work until the casino supervisor/floor person noticed the lack of play or the dealer let them know what was going on. The supervisor cant watch every game(and all the play) at once. What we usually do playing slots is on the first day or two find a machine that lets us play (win then lose then win some back then lose) and park our butts to get our points .I found a good machine last week on the Splendor ,it was a quarter 3 coin max game. It gave me about 800 points on a $100 bill that I originally put in. That's how we try to get maximum points when we play slots both on ships and gambling at home

My husband has received these offers on three occasions and he plays blackjack. We've always upgraded to a balcony so we pay a minimal amount for the cruise. On our upcoming Alaska cruise, we are paying $125 per person for a 7 day cruise for 3 of us (Total of $375); the taxes and port charges are more than the cruise cost. We upgraded to a balcony. We figured that we would never be able to get a better deal to Alaska than this one. Since we live in Southern California, we had to look at flight costs too, and our flights on Southwest for my daughter and husband were $275 round trip total. I had enough in points for a free round trip, so it was as if this trip was destined to be!

On our cruise on Miracle in February, he earned his free drink card on the 4th day of the 7 day cruise. As for me, I earned it on the last night, and although I don't drink very much, I had to order drinks just because of earning it. I play slots only - mostly pennies, because I am just that way.

On Miracle, we did get some free drinks in the casino prior to earning them. That was a first for us. We also received a plate of desserts from the casino manager. Another first.

WOW 24,000 points on one cruise is the equivalent to a whopping $60,000 play through on slots. Holy smokes!

Cash back on Premier cruises really sweetened the deal for us along with significantly reduced rates.

We would like an Alaska offer similar to yours. We only seem to get cross country offers for Caribbean routes, rather than West coast starting points, and we live on west coast. Makes it much more expensive even if the cruise is free or nearly free.
