GUT2407 Posted April 19, 2015 #26 Share Posted April 19, 2015 I had to forward an email from my home address to my work address and even it went through twice.
GUT2407 Posted April 19, 2015 #27 Share Posted April 19, 2015 Never seen it before and I work in IT. That's crazy! I used to work in IT and saw it occasionally, I've sent them an e-mail wonder if they'll get it twice. I think that shortly I'll log off and see if that fixes it, but I tried it on the other site and it didn't.

abbyar Posted April 19, 2015 #30 Share Posted April 19, 2015 So, back to the topic at hand. We'll use our OBC on kids club, primarily. Only have $100 this trip, might change our next one when we have $300, but for $10/ hour I get to have dinner and then drinks into the late evening with my hubby. I will burn through $100 easily in a week. Perhaps the $300 I can use for kids club while we are in port one day...
cruisebie Posted April 19, 2015 #31 Share Posted April 19, 2015 I'm enjoying all the fun on this thread. (Why do I feel like I should say that twice?)😁 Here are a couple of other ideas for you: Shore excursions Spa passes (if not in a spa suite) Gratuities not covered by the DSC (butler, concierge, kid club, extra tips for room steward, etc) Casino You can also cash it out in the casino, but I'm not sure of the method people use to do this. I think you lose 3% when you do this, but again I'm not sure.
TrumpyNor Posted April 19, 2015 #32 Share Posted April 19, 2015 You can use OBC to pay for photo packages on board, or for internet access, or for stuff purchased in any of the shops on board, or at the spa, etc. etc. There are plenty of ways to spend OBC on board, even when you have the UDP and UBP included. Instead of not using it..... Personally I never give my OBC any thoughts regarding what I am specifically using it to pay for on board. To me it is just an extra credit that in the end will be deducted from my final bill on board.....
AEckhardt Posted April 19, 2015 #33 Share Posted April 19, 2015 He's going golfing, while I go to the spa. [emoji4] We would have done that anyway, but it's nice for NCL to "pick up the tab"

Solararc Posted April 19, 2015 Author #36 Share Posted April 19, 2015 Hahaha, one never gets the extras if they ask for them in these situations. They just happen. Enjoy your facial, and the spa [emoji38] *Living Large*

rochelle_s Posted April 19, 2015 #39 Share Posted April 19, 2015 I will likely buy 2 FCC's with the OBC and then take the $200 OBC you get from the FCC and apply it to the casino for $250 in casino play. Oh and by the way OP I just love your new avatar! ;) Rochelle

Oh and by the way OP I just love your new avatar! ;) Rochelle I think that is a great loophole here, but FCC and not really lose out on to much of your OBC, brilliant. I can still get my massage and cheaper deposits, as a wise man once said: "winning" *Living Large*
Rare justhappy Posted April 19, 2015 #41 Share Posted April 19, 2015 Booked in a haven suite so we have all the "freebies". My guess is our OBC will go toward massages for DH and I. I'm not a shopper, although we may buy a photo or two to commemorate our 40th anniversary. We do plan to buy spa passes, and maybe FCC if so inclined by our enjoyment of the cruise. We don't have a budget for this cruise, it's our big blowout since we had a $100 wedding and were very poor the first years of our marriage. This cruise is to celebrate 40 years of hard work, sacrifice, saving and scrimping. Best way to do that? Splurging, lol!
Rare mking8288 Posted April 19, 2015 #42 Share Posted April 19, 2015 We only had $350 OBC on last month's milky run so had to watch how we spend it all - DW always buy her cosmetics, as her brand is priced the same as land & tax-free so she will stock up to the max. limit. Cigarettes - duty-free pricing (unless going to USVI, etc.) as gift items, saved a bit over N.Y.'s skyward prices (not that we endorse/approve smoking ...) as 1 carton was to "payoff" the limo driver for services to the pier (a/k/a our nephew - only used Carmel service one-way instead) Photos - only 3 of them this year, just under $30 with Platinum discount. Sodas while dining - bring our own for the staterooms, but nice to have one while carving the roast rack of lamb , just barely loose change this time (twice, didn't get charged either - ;) ) Specialty dining @ Shanghai Noodles (once) #shrug - now it's free, oh well. Clamshell rental @ GSC Toward the end of the week, with the iConcierge showing funds leftover that's nonrefundable - got one $10 special and one $20 special at the shopper's frenzy. jmele999 Posted April 19, 2015 #43 Share Posted April 19, 2015 On two of our upcoming cruises, Escape-2016 and Dawn-2017, we have all the promos including pre-paid gratuities. We will be using the OBC to tip the butler and concierge.
watchdiva Posted April 19, 2015 #44 Share Posted April 19, 2015 Our OBC will pay for weekly spa passes...then we'll buy a few FCC's and use that OBC to stock up on perfume and makeup. We have all 4 promos as well.

Nightengale31 Posted April 20, 2015 #47 Share Posted April 20, 2015 On two of our upcoming cruises, Escape-2016 and Dawn-2017, we have all the promos including pre-paid gratuities. We will be using the OBC to tip the butler and concierge. We too have all the promos. This will be our first time in a Haven suite so how do you go about utilizing OBC for gratuities for the butler and concierge? Also, I imagine the amount of gratuity extended to these individuals is dependent on services provided, but honestly I am clueless of what would be a basic customary gratuity for a 10 day cruise. All input appreciated.
Saraphine Posted April 20, 2015 #48 Share Posted April 20, 2015 My son will be turning 16 onboard, so the OBC will be a "gift" to him to do with what he will. I imagine most will go to the arcade, some for souveniers onboard, and some to purchase virgin drinks for himself and his friends (NCL drink packages for kids can't compare to those offered by RCL!).
