I use sweater and blanket bags to pack everything in our suitcases. DH's items are separate from mine. We also leave everything in the bags when we place them in the drawers -- I never trust that the drawers are clean.

That's a great idea....however, I need lessons on packing. This time I didn't worry because we were in first class flying and could bring 3 free bags each and weighing 75 pounds each (but I couldn't tell my DH that because it was a surprise!)
