jeanlyon Posted May 13, 2015 #1 Share Posted May 13, 2015 Just back from wonderful cruise on Adonia. What a super ship. We went down the river to Seville and also down the Gironde to Bordeaux. Loved everything. We haf a passenger choir on board. The theatre company were fantastic. Only 5 of them but all had great voices. food pretty good and we ate in Sorrento once which was excellent. Christine Noble the cd was also excellent. Always around the ship as was Captain Box.
annieuk Posted May 13, 2015 #2 Share Posted May 13, 2015 Glad you enjoyed Adonia - we loved her too. She is a completely different ship from the others in the fleet. I know she doesn't have things that are important for some cruisers but for us she was just right.
jeanlyon Posted May 14, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted May 14, 2015 She was perfect. We loved Andersons, not so keen on the Crows Nest, didn't have a lot of atmosphere early evening, but did have our choir practice up there. Just loved the ship, hope she's back in the Med in 2017. Many thanks for the choir. Really good music and beautiful singing. We thought Sorento was a classy venue and we have dined there quite a few times in the past. We did miss the silver service vegetables though where the waiters would pile your plate with them if you wished. MD meals are not very healthy in IMO. David. jeanlyon Posted May 15, 2015 Author #6 Share Posted May 15, 2015 Interestingly, our friend had swollen feet and ankles AGAIN. And she found two of the soups very salty which is interesting as you only really taste salt if you don't need any. Two days after returning home, feet and ankles back to normal.
